This was my first time at Gen Korean bbq I have been to many others but not this one . For starters the staff was friendly and the server was great , we went for lunch which was pretty good the only reason I won’t give 5 stars is the fact there is ALOT of options you can’t get because it’s lunch . I have been to many Korean bbq places and of course they have one or two things you can only have lunch time but gen had TONS I think it’s just because they want you to pay more because dinner cost more but I don’t see that to be fair . Also it’s the first time I had to cut my own pork belly which makes it difficult to cut . Other then that it was a pretty good experience but I will stick with K- pot

$30 a person for all you can eat, any and all drinks are an additional cost. The Korean-Style Pork Riblets were by far the best thing on the menu. The music is very loud, expect to yell to the person across the table from you. Service was fast.

The restaurant in Webster was much more relaxed and easier to get to than the one in downtown Houston. The food was just as good and the staff was excellent!

Fun experience. A ton of food. You pay one set price and choose from those menu items. The lunch and dinner differ and there’s also a kids menu. I can’t remember the price difference between lunch and dinner but I do remember the shrimp option only comes with dinner. Our server was very friendly and attentive. At the time of our dining it was BYOB which was a plus. It’s located in a shopping center so parking isn’t an issue.

Came here with a group of 6 friends for the grand opening! I have had great experiences with Gen BBQ before at other places like Dallas. This experience was just as good!

An unlimited buffet for a very affordable price all brought to your table for one to cook at your own desire. Staff is very friendly with a prompt response, clean restrooms. It was a good first time experience.

A lot of potential for the restaurant hope they work on that liquor license soon. Their staff was limited which is understandable but felt their team could use a training or two on how to service their customers who are new to Koren BBQ. We were brought a tray of items told we could pick lunch or dinner. Given the price and adviced which meats were on which menu. We picked the menu that was limited and brought our meats. So far so good but we were still missing the cokes we ordered 10 min before that then left to figure out how long the meats should cook for. Because of the limited staff our grill was changed out as often as it apparently should have been. I think a few more minutes with their customers would have gone a long way.
