This place is a great place to eat your heart out. They give you many different types of meat to pick. I recommend the bulgogi, Cajun shrimp and the kalbi. It’s two things that bring the review down,the staff didn’t bring us utensils or cooking utensils when we had our meats (-0.5 ⭐). Also the smoke was in my face and it really bothered me. (-0.5⭐)

Great experience today. It is AYCE for about $30 per person for dinner. Great variety, quality food, and great service. The only issue we had was that they were out of some side items, and they were a bit short staffed, so service took a little longer than normal. Both issues were made up for by the great service and delicious food. I’m always a happy customer when I come to Gen k bbq.

Definitely have a ton of selections. I would say that the waiter did not do a good time of bringing out the food timing wise and they did not do a good job of replacing our grill so that it wouldn’t smoke frequently. Other than that was a great time.

For the couple of times I’ve been here, I’m not the biggest fan of it. Yeah, everyone has a big hype about the place, but with being a Korean all you can eat place, you of course cook the food yourself. But I can atleast say, the place is okay, with all the people who come in…it gets really smoky inside the building. Don’t get me wrong, the food is good. But this place is more for those who have a matter of preference towards it.

Absolutely the worst gen I have been, we were there around 8pm,the server was for some reason not happy with everything, didn’t talk to us at all even when ask for QR code for order. And we were sitting there for half our we didn’t even have our grill plate on the table, when we asking the worker said “it is how it is, this is not the place we can keep ordering and we keep bringing you food” so said they have this kind of worker and just go to another Gen in Ala Moana you can get a way better service

The service was very poor. There was not a designated waiter or waitress so trying to order was difficult. Even when we would ask for stuff, we would never get it. Our plates were dirty and we asked to exchange them for clean ones but we never got those plates. It took us 20 minutes to get our order taken because they forgot about us. Most of what we ordered just never came and when we would ask about our missing meats they only brought out part of the order. One of our servers was very rude and when we asked if they could turn on the grill she got very upset and said “that ain’t my job don’t ask me.” The only thing that keeps this at two stars is that one of the waiters was kind enough to give us a heavy discount. Otherwise this would be a one star review. Given the lack luster food and subpar service I would never come here again and would recommend you to spend your money elsewhere.
