Our restaurant is a seasonal American Comfort Food establishment built in a rustic mountain cabin style typical of the 1930s. Hours and our menu vary depending on the season.
With a convenient on site full service restaurant, you can enjoy a traditional home style cooked meal, local wine and craft beer without having to leave the grounds.
No where in these mountains so close to Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks will you find hotels with an onsite restaurant at the rates we offer. Feel free to check out local competitors.
The restaurant features a deck where guests can relax and socialize with other travelers and where pets are welcome. The hotel is also within a half hour of many of the park’s attractions and hiking trails.

Very enjoyable meal at a rustic and charming restaurant. Gena’s has a full menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner at very reasonable prices. The wait staff are friendly and attentive and are happy to accommodate special requests. I had the rib eye with mixed vegetables and it was perfectly cooked and tasted great. My wife had the salmon that was seasoned very nicely with mashed potatoes and gravy that she found delicious. This is really the only full service restaurant for miles and I highly recommend it. I’m confident that you will have a memorable experience.

Such a beautiful little place with a beautiful atmosphere. We were passing through 15 minutes to closing time, called to see if they were still serving, they were so helpful sweet even offered to help us find a room as they were fully booked. We did not feel rushed at all. They reassured us to feel comfortable and eat. They also serviced 2 larger families after closing time. Came back for breakfast but unfortunately the power in the entire area was out. The lady apologized and offered us muffins. I will definitely be back here next time I’m in the area

BEST chicken & Fish and chips since we moved to California in 2019!! Friendly service from our wonderful waitress Sandy and the attached gift shop was fantastic!! We will be back for the food and service again! Well worth the 2hr drive from Bakersfield

The food is good. Nothing amazing. But the kitchen is lacking. Only people in the restaurant at 9 am and it still took an hour to get chicken fried steak and some pancakes. When the food came out, they still hadn’t put in the steak(?!!) and the hashbrowns were cold. Just weird. People who sat down after us had to ask for a waitress to serve them even though we were the only other ones there. One waitress was more with it than the other who seemed to be a resident of Lala land. Seems to be a common complaint for this restaurant from the reviews. Surprised they haven’t addressed the issue yet.

Everything went wrong at same time. It was off peak hours, 3-4 tables outside, 1-2 tables inside. At least 3-4 waiters are on shift. I ordered the chicken wing, but it was ice cold inside. My wife ordered BTL+upgraded sweet potato fries(you wont be notified that it is 4 dollars extra charge until you pay the bill), but it came up with regular fries. There were about 3-4 tables seats outside, but at least 2 tables credit card messed up. The waiter could only work on one bill at the time, but 2 out 3 bills went wrong. Plus there are 3% extra charges if you pay by card.

Went to this restaurant on 06-20-23 and posted a glowing review and planned to return the next night. OMG What happened??!! It was horrible. The spaghetti was ….. well, 1st, it was angel hair, that is not a ‘spaghetti’ noodle, but, could have lived with that, but, the sauce….. straight out of a jar and not even warm. It was horrible!!! and now, that it is not really spaghetti noodles, the sauce is horrible …. it is now way tooooo expensive. I asked for extra sauce, a person brought me out a bowl of cold, out of the jar, sauce. No meat in it, etc. so you could tell it was right out of the jar, but, they did not even warm it up!! Even the grilled garlic bread was different. Not even grilled done. So, the owner needs to look at who was cooking on June 20th and promote them and then see who was cooking on June 21st and fire them. So, based on the food we received on June 21st and paid over $70 for, I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO EAT HERE!! Also, the salad bar that I got, everything was soft and wilted and horrible!! You need to not have a salad bar if it is going to be stuff that is 8 hours old.————–FOR THE JUNE 20TH, 2023 VISIT I POSTED THIS REVIEW: Absolutely the BEST restaurant Spaghetti I have ever eaten!! The marinara was perfection!! The fried shrimp were also awesome!

Update: owner replied and was very understanding. Original review stated a temperature issue with our food but I was surprised with how the owner handled this situation and I updated my review. It was probably a one-off thing and all the other reviews are great so we’re probably just unlucky lol. They have this rock wall that u can take and paint a rock with where you are from and leave it there for others. My girls really liked reading the rocks.
