We were traveling home to NC and found this place on Google maps with great reviews. The place was busy on a mid Sunday afternoon. This is just great home cooking in a simple environment. Dont be put off by the basic look of the place. The people were very friendly and took time to speak with us before we left.

Ever since Covid I see that the experience is not worth it. They limit how much you can get and charge you for desserts and anything over 4 sides and 2 entrees. Macaroni is still good. I just don’t feel the love and welcome anymore. But I would recommend getting take out.

We went based on reviews. Parked walked up to the door and was greeted by an ugly sign stating masks required. Under that it stated we could buy one for $1.00. Nope. We went to the Mexican restaurant up the road. Delicious, friendly.
