I’ve frequented Genna Rae’s In The past and have had mixed experiences. I went during a lunch rush last week and they were extremely busy compared to most times Where you can get in & out with no problem. The customer service was fantastic I called ahead so I could skip the rush my food was ready and the man at the front provided excellent and speedy service even though it was busy. As for the food it was 7/10 I don’t know if the grease in the fryer was too high or if ordering crispy wings = Cajun but they were a little on the dark side otherwise everything was good I recommend for a quick bite of soul food if your in the area.

We tried 2 other places for catfish in the area and they were all closed. Finally we found this little gem. I am from Oklahoma, but live in Montana. There is no catfish there, much less greens. These are literally the best greens I’ve ever had. The catfish was amazing, great flavors in the corn meal. Everyone we spoke to was super nice, and our food was brought out to us. It is take out only, bit there are a couple of picnic tables at the little library that is next door. Perfect!

Genna Rae’s is the truth. Great food!! Ribs, jerk chicken, catfish, wings, greens, Mac & cheese, baked beans and the surprisingly good sweet potato salad… oh an that run cake was . The customer service is off the charts. Naz was amazing, very professional and ultra personable. Can’t wait to go back again before we get outta town.

I wanted Buffalo Wings during the Nuggets NBA Finals Game 3 and found this spot on Google maps and drove over right at half time. I got in and they were closing up ( I should’ve called ahead because they do last orders at 7:30 PM on weekdays)… but the owner was SO NICE and friendly and made fulfilled my Wing Craving come true. Such a kind gesture of him and his kitchen staff to do this for me. The wings are The BEST in Denver and I know wings being from Upstate NY and my Dads side of the Family from Buffalo. Thank you Genna Rae I will be back for the rest of the menu!!

Best greens and Mac I’ve had in a long time! Everything I ordered was perfection! The guy taking our order was so nice. The entire experience felt like you were hanging out with family. My new favorite spot! Exceptional food and service!

Jerk chicken was great; blackened with lots of spices. My mac and cheese was gone before I realized what happened. Brisket was solid, with a visible smoke ring and a sweet bbq sauce. The only miss was the beans and rice, which was a bit plain. I should have gone for one of the greens.

Only here in Denver for a short time. I’ve read great reviews about this place so had to try it. wasn’t disappointed at all. The catfish was breaded nicely for a good crunch. The jerk chicken, although pretty damn spicy, was delicious!

This place is so good! Ordered a chicken sandwich in hot honey sauce and sweet potato fries. Both were amazing and I was super impressed that the sweet potato fries were both orange and purple varieties. The people working were great and it took about 20m to get my food.

Stoked that I found this spot on my long walk home. All the reviews were phenomenal so I decided to stop and I’m sure glad I did! Pineapple mango habanero wings were cooked and sauced to perfection (and I’m super picky about my wings). I’ve never had collard greens before but decided to take a chance. They were so flavorful and the first thing inhaled from my plate! Basically a religious experience, and im not religious. The candied yams were exceptional as well! The person in front of me ordered the last mac n cheese (it was close to closing so i can understand that they were out) so I’ll be heading back today to be sure I get my hands on an order!

I ordered lunch for my office, and everyone LOVED it! Already have requests to order for another lunch. All the sandwiches were amazing and the mac n cheese and coleslaw. Highly recommend trying out, next time I will try those wings!!!
