We had a nice small party dinner there during their soft-opening and took advantage by ordering each dish on the menu and sharing. Everything that we tried was very, very good! Particularly outstanding were: the beef carpacio, seafood risotto and the valencian ice cream (so refreshing!). Being a foodie in Howard County means you have only have 2 or 3 options when eating out that truly leave you satisfied (or you need to drive to DC or Baltimore) – we just found one that definitely should be added to the list!

Very excited to dine at Genova tonight for the first time. Wonderful upgrade inside for a lovely upscale atmosphere. The bartender made me a great dry martini exactly to my specifications. The gluten free options were plentiful for my wife. She had the Wild Cobia and I had the Mignon with Rigatoni Tartufata at the owner’s recommendation and they were both excellent. The cream of crab soup was tasty as well. Certainly working out some kinks with service and timing as a new restaurant, but the service was friendly and attentive. This is soon to be a gem in Howard County. Definitely add it to your list, we will be back to try the rest of the menu. I know the ownership will be attentive to any feedback and would love to take great care of you!

The food was kinda bland, $17 for a tiny pizza that isn’t very well done plus the pasta and Alfredo sauce was not really well and didn’t have much flavor. Would not recommend to come back unless you are in a pinch.

My wife, daughter, and I tried Genova this evening. We had drinks, the Caesar salad and Caprese for appetizers, and the Mignon Rigatoni, Lobster Fra Diavolo, and Pizza Genova for entrees. The only glitches were Genova didn’t have the Moscato listed on the menu and some minor service ones as expected from a new staff at a new restaurant. All of the food including the complimentary focaccia was delicious. We’d happily return as well as highly recommend Genova to others. 100% better than its predecessor You Pizza!

Genova is a welcome addition to Clarksville, bringing quality Italian cuisine in a sit-down restaurant. While the restaurant is newly opened (only a week and a half since the soft opening) and there are a few kinks to work out in the kitchen and service, we had a very good dinner there. There’s a nice wine list and selection for beers, but the red wine was far too warm. Yes it should be near room temperature, and it’s hot outside, but a red wine that’s at nearly 80 degrees F is not very enjoyable. (Suggest you find new storage location for your red wines). The Insalata Caprese with heirloom tomatoes was very good, with excellent mozzarella and dabs of pesto on the plate. The full size is good for sharing. The risotto Chesapeake was a perfect size and the seafood (crab, scallops and lobster) in it were cooked to perfection. A real winner. During the service we were offered complimentary small bruschetta appetizers which were good. The bruschetta came topped with shrimp. While eating dinner our server, Melody, showed us a selection of desserts to tempt us. We paused for about 20 minutes after the main course and then had Tiramisu. It was huge. Definitely split it. We went early on a Wednesday evening and had no trouble getting a table. I think they’ll become busier after the grand opening, and when people come home from summer vacation. The staff was pleasant and helpful, and we spoke to the owner and to the chef. They have yet to hire a bartender, but others were filling in (made no difference to us as we had wine anyway). The tables are well spaced, but if the restaurant is half full, why not put people at tables a little farther from each other? They have done a good job remodeling the space from You Pizza, and it feels like a nice Italian restaurant. All in all and good experience.

Finally a restaurant where you can eat well, gluten-free too, pleasant, a place like home, and at an affordable price, it’s not cheap but excellent value for money. The charming owner
