As the name suggests, the place is a gentle giant. It looks pretty underwhelming from outside, but it is surprisingly large and super welcoming inside! I went in on a Sunday afternoon, expecting the place to be quiet and deserted, but was taken aback with the sizeable crowd and live music when I walked in. Even though the place was packed and loud, the bartenders were super friendly and patient. I tried a couple of bartender’s recommended beers with fries while enjoying the music and the colorful vibe!

We used to be regulars here, but for multiple reasons we hadn’t been in a while so thought we would stop by one Sunday. Was surprised to see that it no longer had BBQ (which was fantastic by the way) and the new menu was pretty limited. I tried one of their pizzas which was kind of ruined by way too much cheese making the base soggy – Not great! My son had chicken tenders and remarked how there “wasn’t as much chicken as there used to be”.. Still great beer and nice staff, just feels as though it isn’t as good as it used to be. A shame as they were definitely the best brewery in the surrounding areas before.

We heard great things about the bbq but this was a major letdown. I wanted to treat my wife to some great food and music but the ambiance didn’t cut it and the food was laughable. It’s almost as though no one was managing the place but we overheard someone who was speaking to the owner and, well, they weren’t kind. Better to find somewhere else where the manager/owner has respect for others.

The staff is amazing, friendly, and efficient! We went this past weekend with our kids and the beer was outstanding! The kids had a blast playing cornhole and loved the food as much as we did! Can’t wait to go back. If In the area of Pearl River this place is a must try !!!

Beer geek here, fortunate enough to stop into Gentle Giant Brewing for beers and dinner on a Saturday night. The brews are outstanding. Strongly recommend the Dunkel and the house IPA – very drinkable, smooth, and packed with flavor. The food is amazing. The cabbage slaw is some of the best slaw I’ve ever had. The wings were amazing, and I suggest trying the garlic Parmesan or the Cajun dry rub, both delicious. If you can get yourself some of the brisket, you will become happy. This brisket is other worldly dank goodness. I had fantasies of the brisket for days to follow… absolutely scrumptious. Don’t forget the sandwich of the day, which seems to be a creative outlet for the wisened culinary minds of GGB. The place is a lot of fun, lots of young people and beer nerds like me, but also families. Good music and atmosphere… We had a great time.

This is my first review ive ever written in my life. Food was good beer was great. Service was the issue. I can tell these young people had all the best intentions but they have to be trained on customer sevice. Number 1 make eye contact 2 hours spent not one staff memeber looked at us or engaged us at all at the bar. It was to the point of it being uncomfortable and the conversation at the bar became about why wont they look at us. I end saying place is fine and i hope i dont come off as a karen jsut seems like to good of a concept and location to have servers who dont understand customer service.

Good BBQ! Really enjoyed the pulled pork, samples wings, and the bbq sauce. Decor is simple but fits the place perfectly. Wish they had a party room. I would go back just not when a private party was happening.

Dinosaur themed beers and dinosaur portioned food. Had an excellent Sunday evening here with their very pleasant and attentive staff. The beers are great, with the Czech Lager, Blueberry Sour, and the Light Lager being standouts. Ordered a 2 meat and side, grabbed the brisket, ribs, and Mac n’cheese, then added baked beans. Eyes bigger than stomach because these guys don’t mess around with their serving size. The brisket was absolutely great, soft and juicy with a wonderful smoky crust. My wife ordered the pulled pork and smoked turkey, both of which were great. I think the turkey must be excellent on a sandwich and I’ll find out with our leftovers. In the image I’ve posted, the sides are in quarts and we ended up taking a fair amount of them home because it was so much food. Definitely recommend hitting up Gentle Giant for food and beer when you need to scratch your BBQ itch.
