First of, before we get into the food, I’d like to compliment our server. He was friendly, attentive and was very prompt. The food was delicious and everything put together was outstanding. I loved all the food and the desserts were very flavorful without being too sweet. I’d much prefer these desserts opposed to many of the bake shops around town. We had smoked earl grey ice cream, fig something really yummy and Panna cotta. This is the 1st time I’ve been here. We are picky about our steaks. The medium was a true medium with the perfect amount of Pink, but the char on the outside was just the right amount. I’m so happy with my birthday meal and I’ll definitely be returning. This is a gem for Springfield. There’s been some nice additions in the past few years, but I’d say this is by far the best restaurant in the city by far.

We celebrated my Mom’s 80th birthday here as she wanted a steak. You must order the rolls, they are little clouds from Yeast Heaven. My hubby’s Duck was delicious, moist and flavorful. My shrimp appetizer and salad were amazing. My Mom’s NY Strip was good, but not fabulous. It was not as tender as say Ruth Chris. Overall it was great and we’ll be back. Wish I could give 4.5.

I love this place. A reservation at least a day in advance is a must. This is truly a fine dining experience and absolutely worth every penny. You could go somewhere else and spend $100 on a mediocre meal or you can come here and be wowed into spending twice as much because the food and service is so incredible. I highly recommend the aged steak even if you’re not that into steak, you may become a fan of theirs.

Limited menu, primarily red meat. Based on reviews had high expectations but the food was far below expectation in terms of savor and taste. We ordered prawn ramen and duck. The dessert, hazelnut cream with toppings, was average. Disappointing overall but might be a good fit for those who prefer red meat.

The gnocchi appetizer is delightful, so light and fluffy with a delicious parmesan cream sauce. Both steak dishes were amazing, as was the baked macaroni. Dessert sweetened the deal! Smoked earl grey tea ice cream and a fig leaf bavarois as photographed. Wonderful and lovely to look at! One of my very favorite experiences!!

I can’t say enough good things about this place. Consistently excellent drinks, food, and service. Easily one of my favorite places in the Eugene-Springfield area, and our go-to spot for a date night.

Don’t overlook this place. It’s just a little way down the street from the main “hub” of downtown and the storefront is kinda’ hidden. Every time we’ve been in we’ve experienced some of the most distinctive culinary treats. The bartenders are real professionals as well and have an abundance knowledge and produce some wonderfully unique cocktails. I usually skip the dessert when I go out to eat but, again, characteristic of their entire menu, there are some unexpected treats available that can’t be passed up.

We had a great time. Our server was very personable. The menu is ala carte style. The rolls served before dinner tasted great but were served in a basket that was way too big, making them seem tiny and not enough. I’d recommend rethinking the serving basket. We started with the Ceasar salad. Great tasting and plenty of cheese, great job. We had the house made bacon which was great but you were served three pieces of bacon with only two pieces of bread. The dish needs to be served with a steak knife, it’s hard to cut the meat with and butter knife and fork. The bacon was tasty. The salad and pickled onions were great. We chose the ribeye, medium rare, it tasted great, was a little under cooked I’d say cooked rare but perfectly seasoned. The butters that were served with the steak were good, the blue cheese butter was far better than the crab butter. There was fennel or anise in the crab butter which I am not a fan of. The Mac and cheese was dry on the inside but the crust tasted almost like sweet corn bread. Yum. The the baked potato was great, loved the large cubes of real bacon. For drinks we ordered the house made lemonade and the black iced tea, both were so tasty. A little pricey but I think worth it, I hope Springfield can support it. The restaurant is dark inside but not too dark, personally I’d like it slightly lighter in there. My biggest complaint is how loud it is in there, they need to utilize some sound absorbing material on the ceiling and walls. The big question is would we come back….. Yes we would.

My husband and I just ate here for the first time and we are definitely going back. The ambiance is wonderful and perfect for conversation. The service was just right where we felt unbothered but taken care of. The food is outstanding! A very unique blend of different items that pair very well together. We thanked the server and the owner came over to thank us-very impressive. We highly recommend this restaurant!
