Simple, fast, fairly priced, hospitable service. Stopped in on a nightmare holiday weekend travel day. Place was packed. But the staff moved fast and turned the whole restaurant in 20 minutes. Our food came out super fast and was delicious. I highly recommend the patty melt with grilled onions and mushrooms. Hit the spot! With it being so close to the hwy, we will certainly stop again!

Food is wonderful and because of that this is a very popular place there was a constant wait time for seating, and if you find the phone busy then they’ve taken it off the hook so if you want their food you have to drive there put in your order and sit and wait.

Not especially friendly. For a restaurant versus fast food, not a welcome, be with you in a minute…lots of chatter amongst the staff. After a good 5 minutes of looks but no greeting I requested a menu to take outside. Just average. Fries were cold. Tacos were good. Although the order was to go…wasn’t going to put myself or my daughter through a restaurant visit of drop the plate and disappear. Although my order was to go and I tipped…no napkins, no ketchup, not even a thank you. Was not impressed but will do if it doesn’t matter to you whom you support. Next trip I will visit one of the other diners.

Whenever I am in town, I am always looking for somewhere to have a quick but filling meal. The locals had told me about George’s, and honestly, it did not disappoint. It’s a small side of the road diner, I got more food than I could manage, the food was fresh, the service was good, and the prices were right. Highly recommend if you are in the walsenburg area and would like to sit down or pick up a take out order.

The cuisine of this area is chili. Red chili or green chili. Maybe over a burrito or over a . Try both if you can’t decide order it half and half or go for the green! Cannot go wrong with chili and fries I had the half and half this time.
