My boyfriend and I were looking to find a new lunch spot and decided to go to George’s Kitchen today. We were pleasantly surprised! The staff was so friendly and the food was delicious! They had many different options for vegetarians and I had the vegetarian eggplant surprise, it was so flavorful and fresh. He had the Italian omelette and loved it. We will definitely be back again!

Absolutely fantastic! Had the most amazing breakfast… vegetable Eggs Benny! Fiance got an awesome burger with fried onions and cheddar.. he inhaled it. Definitely coming back as the new menu is extensive and they have a lot of healthy options too.

First time here. Clean, staff friendly and attentive, coffee hot and they refilled without asking. Spinach feta omelet had plenty of filling, home fries were good but a bit bland. will definitely return.

Sound Beach Diner (used to be George’s Diner) has delicious and affordable food! New menu has so many options, including healthy choices! New owner so nice and really cares about his customers…you can tell by the product he puts out and the fact that he is ALWAYS there to make sure you are getting the best service. Highly recommend the Crispy Chicken Greek Salad!

Kinda disappointed with this place:-. We moved into the area and came here once before they changed names and twice after. Everything got progressively worse each time. Waitresses have been nice, but kinda flakey. The last time, our waitress forgot half the order and we were the only ones in the place. Actually, we all got sick from the food the last time and never went back:-(. I was hoping it would be a nice place to go after church on Sundays but def not the case.

They get 2 stars because what I could eat was good. I ordered from door dash and the order had some notes. I don’t eat cheese, butter, etc. Clearly noted it in my food orders and they basically ignored the notes all together. Stuck with $20 worth of food I can’t eat. Thankfully I have a friend who does and its my turn to buy lunch.

By far THE WORST DINER in Suffolk county. My family moved to Sound Beach in 2016. We gave George’s a shot because people kept telling us how great it was. We were not impressed the first time. Cold food, disappearing waiter, dirty tables. We passed last week and saw the under new ownership sign and thought hey, let’s give it another try. Well that was a mistake. Saturday afternoon we went in during the Spring festival. Started off great. Friendly faces and we were given an open table right away. Waitress was nice, but seemed disorganized and frazzled. Got our order and drinks quickly. Food came, but before the plates hit the table the waitress knew it was incorrect. We ordered egg sandwiches so really not a difficult order. Takes the food back. We wait. It comes a second time- obvious that they took sandwiches apart and threw them back together. The sausage was way over cooked. Tough and chewy. My husbands sandwich was disgusting. Over cooked everything, eggs like rubber. My order has mushrooms in it, which I didn’t order and hate. My food was sent back. My kids ate a bite of scrambled eggs but found little pieces of meat(?) in them and that was the end of breakfast. We asked for check. Our plates still sitting on table the blonde owner or hostess came by to take our plates with our food still intact and ask if we wanted boxes- now we are sitting there obviously annoyed with untouched full plates of food- never asked how everything was or if there was an issue- the waitress didn’t either- just sped away before we could even say anything. We planned to say something when the waitress came to pick up the check, but she never did! We ended up leaving $ on table. Before we left we hit the bathroom with my 3 year old. The restroom was dirty. Paper all over floor and disgusting toilet. We will never eat there again. Good luck to those who do.

I’ve eaten here a few times and everytime was great except for today. We got seated right away and the hostess was very nice. However we finally order our drinks after being there for 20 mins when the hostess asked if anyone came over yet. She told people that no one has come to us yet and somebody got us our drinks. 15 mins after that we noticed 3 family’s that just recently came in had there drinks and someone was taking their food orders. Now we’ve been there for 45 mins and not one waitress or waiter has asked us anything. We got up asked for the check and left. I know they are usually good but I am very disappointed from our experience today.
