Service was a little slow. Wasn’t too impressed with the crawfish bites. Braised short ribs were very flavorful, but one piece was mostly fat. Potatoes were nice with the gravy made from the drippings of the ribs. Salad was good with the vinaigrette dressing. Angus burger was flavorful. Enchiladas were good and cheesy.

We ordered crawfish appetizer and they were so tiny, the biscuits were just ok. The shrimp tortellini carbonara could be better because the rice was hard. The beef brisket has big chunk of fat in it although flavor was good. Overall the food were pretty good however we waited for a long time for the food to come out. It’s not very memorable experience.

Legit Lowcounty fare, on the outskirts of the Classic City… George’s Lowcountry Table is special y’all! If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out on one of the best places in Athens. The Lowcountry Enchilladas will make a bulldog break his chain!

We ordered to-go seafood jambalaya tonight. The rice came not fully cooked. We called the restaurant and they provide new entrees for free. Also give us a complementary dessert.

The service was great, but the food didn’t match. The free biscuits were dry and our crawfish popper appetizer was the same, even with the remoulade dipping sauce. The sherry crab bisque was more cream bisque with little to no crab meat. Our group ordered the crab cakes (more breading than meat with little to no flavor), the low county enchiladas (well presented, but again little to no meat in the enchiladas. They were mostly cheese) and finally the seafood jambalaya (again well presented, but a continued theme, little to no seafood/meat with little to no flavor). As stated the service was great, the food left something to be desired for the price mark.

My husband and I stopped in today for Sunday brunch and were greeted by the owner at the front door. We were immediately spoken to by our very kind waitress and her trainee. Fresh cheddar biscuits were brought out and the friendly service was amplified by the delicious food!! We can’t wait to make this our new Sunday brunch spot. Excellent food and service and very good prices. Highly recommend!!

Our first visit here as my wife was in the mood for seafood for our 24th anniversary and we were very impressed. The food and service lived up to expectations seen in previous reviews. From the hostess greeting us at the front to our very attentive and pleasant waitress, they made the night very enjoyable. The flavors and seasoning was spot on and we left with clean plates and full bellies. Thank you for making our anniversary dinner special.

Visiting Athens with a colleague and we were recommended George’s Low Country – I’ve since dined here on four additional visits to Athens for business. The Craft Cocktails were exceptional and the menu items from the kitchen were/are superb. Make the trip, have a sip, and fest on a palate of flavors. Damn Good food.
