George’s is your typical family neighborhood restaurant, no waiting to be served, it’s a open bar, all you can eat, you serve yourself unless you want something off the menu, the waitresses are very friendly they greet you with a smile and let you seat yourself.

Just had a great breakfast there! The food was good with generous portions. Lots of regulars was a hint the food was gonna be good. I think maybe they were understaffed today as there only seemed to be one waiter. We’ll definitely repeat, the buffet was doing lunch and looked great but we were feeling breakfast.

Staff was very friendly and made sure we were comfortable good environment. Had there hot bar for lunch delicious like home cooking. Recommend y’all to swing in and give them a try don’t miss out on some good home cooking

Used to be our favorite and the “go to” spot for us. Maybe yesterday was an off day because we did go in for a late lunch, after 1:00 and so many items were not on the buffet, they were filling them up but not very fast. No friendly greeting from anyone, not even our waitress who seemed very tired. Ice cream machine is down, food taste was ok but no upgrades on decor, outside is looking pretty run down also. Buffet price was around $35 for 3 adults. That includes tea and dessert.

On a trip back home and Googled “breakfast buffet” for the area and found this place. Read the review where it stated that they had no eggs so we called ahead the said the do have eggs. Got there and it’s a small buffet. Local mostly. Clean place. Service was good. No eggs on buffet so we asked and the waitress asked how many scrambled eggs we wanted each. Then decided to add scrambled eggs to the buffet which was good. No biscuits on buffet but there was sausage gravy so I asked and waitress asked how many biscuits we all wanted and brought out a plate of homemade biscuits but they were cold and hard. Not cold like ice cold but cool to touch. Tough hard but edible for hungry road trippers. There was grits, potatoes, hashbrown casserole (good) bacon, sausage, french toast sticks and they brought out fried catfish. The food was standard cafeteria type quality. There is a big bold sign on the buffet that says you will be charged if you are wasteful and don’t eat what you have or similar wording. I feel there is a more tactful way of stating this. We sat down to eat at a little after 8 on a Sunday morning. I feel all of this warrants 2 stars.

I have eaten here a few times and the food is pretty good. However, I mostly go for the cake.. The cakes are amazing and they have several different flavors (Key lime, Chocolate, Strawberry, etc).
