I absolutely love this place. I usually get a martini with breakfast, but today, just coffee. The food here is phenomenal, and the service is impeccable. I do recommend coming early. The place tends to fill up fast. The options are great, and I LOVE the croissant egg sandwich. I hope you eat here if you’re in Gloucester. You won’t be dissatisfied.

Came in with 7 people and were accommodated quickly. Our waitress was so nice, and attentive. Always checking for coffee/drink refills, and ensuring our food was made to our liking. I had the Irish Benedict, it was definitely in the top 5 breakfasts I’ve had. Hollandaise sauce was top notch. Fresh, creamy, zesty, with a citrus tang. My eggs were poached perfectly, yolks a little runny, while slightly congealed. Home fries had a crispy exterior, with a nice soft potato surprise inside. The corned beef hash was great too.

Very generous portions, excellent service, allergy friendly options. It’s hard to find food at a diner I can have being dairy free and the Avocado toast is probably the best brunch I’ve ever had. See photo.

Haven’t been home for a while and wanted to check out George’s breakfast since the new ownership. Usually I’d opt for the massive pancakes (we saw from another table are still true to style) or maybe a breakfast sandwich, but the smashed avocado jumped at me. Two poached eggs on caramelized onions, mushroom, tomato, smashed avocado and a fresh bed of spinach, drizzled with balsamic glaze, all piled on top of toast….my goodness it did not disappoint. Usually comes with bacon, too, but I don’t eat meat so they easily excluded it. My hunny got the crab cakes benedict with the hash brown patties that George’s has always served, still crispy and golden. His plate was hearty and delicious. We were heavily tempted for a martini to accompany the beautiful bar space, but decided to come back later to test that as well. A beautiful start to our day!!

First time coming here and it was great like the other reviews said. My wife ordered French toast with strawberries and whipped cream and I got their chicken biscuit gravy. Both orders were wonderful and specially our waitress. She was extremely polite and attentive. If we weren’t on vacation we would come here again.

Nice place, I enjoyed the portraits of famous Georges on the walls. I had a group of 5 and while the food time was long, the service was pretty good and the food itself was great. I had a breakfast combo of eggs, bacon, homefries (which I normally don’t care for but were really good) and a blueberry pancake. I had no complaints, would definitely go again maybe on a less busy day and time!
