Thanks to the dedication and talents of special people like Robert Cherry Evans, (Georgia Bob’s grandfather who directed the famous cookings) barbecue was the key celebration at the festivals. We take pride in serving Georgia Bob’s original Brunswick Stew recipe (though slightly altered) and delicious barbecue introduced at the festivals to our customers today.

It was so disappointing ordering food from this place, we went to the KOA Forsyth for the labour day weekend and decided to try different stuffs and foods, back in Atlanta where is home, we own a restaurant aswell and love to patronize our kind, we ordered a half rack of ribs which looked like it was boiled and we where expecting it to have a smoked taste and flavor, and it lacked seasoning aswell, my wife ordered coleslaw that was spoilt, it was slimy and did not smell good, my daughter ordered fries which I think was the only good thing we ordered for she had no complaints. And her mum also said the fries weren’t bad. Hope they step up to the game proper all the best.

The food is awful. Do not recommend. The Brunswick stew was too salty for words and the pulled pork was awful. So was the fried okra. Sad that it was my birthday dinner and now I will have to go get fast food.

Food is great, always fresh. We usually order the family deal and about 30ish dollars it feeds 3 men plus me and have a bit of left over.i love Shane rib shack as well but Georgia bobs taste more home cooked to me.

Saw this quaint little place on our way out of town. The carolina bbq sandwich was pretty good. Loved the sweet potato tots. They were delicious! Bbq sauce is good, pretty simple flavors. May be back next time we are around here. Love the atmosphere and simple decorations.

Stopped there to grab dinner. First off the restaurant was out of half the menu and I wasn’t aware of this beforehand, no big deal, it happens. I ordered 3 chicken tender platters and a kids grilled cheese. The employee didn’t write anything down and had an AirPod in their ear the whole time distracted. Rang me up for 2 chicken platters and a kids grilled cheese with drink. I noticed after I paid it wasn’t correct and had them change it to add another chicken tender platter and they didn’t have enough chicken tenders to complete another order. Asked for a pick 2 as a replacement as I was already charged and had hiccups along the way and they told me they couldn’t because of the small price difference… had to settle and order a turkey platter that came with no sauce. My sons grilled cheese had sweet barbecue sauce on it as well, fries were soggy straight after leaving the drive thru. No silverware or sauces in the bag for any of the chicken after asking as well. Also never received my sons drink… Avoid this place if you’re looking for fast and easy take home for the family…

This was homegrown hospitality and quality country cooking at its best!! Truly a hidden gem!!! You can’t let the size or meager accommodation fool you….there folks are proud of the quality of everything they serve and will let you know WITH CONFIDENCE. And what’s more important, they are spot on!!! I had fried okra (fish and crunchy), and a BLT (like the old fashioned kind, where there is plenty of delicious crunchy bacon, lettuce and tomato covering the bread and edge to edge mayonnaise). You just don’t get old fashioned great BLT at most “hurry up and don’t care” places in this commercialized world!! I’m very thankful I found this place and will stop again. We are campers and have visited many restaurants in our travels. I seldom am impressed enough to give a review, but this place really deserves it. Thanks!!! I need to make a correction. This was about a little roadside restaurant earlier in our trip….I got the names confused, but Georgia Bob’s was equally as good. I had a half chicken, potato salad and green beans….like homemade!!! The folks were great!!! We were camping nearby and I forgot my favorite sweater and didn’t miss it until we started to leave the next morning. I called the restaurant and they had found my sweater and were taking good care of it for me. We were able to stop by and pick it up. They were extra nice and we look forward to going back.

I must admit the customer service was great…..but the food I ordered was a badd representation of beef brisket and smoked turkey. My brisket was clearly boiled because I tasted no smoke flavor just as my turkey not to mention it tasted as if it where microwaved or cooked in a skillet. The Bar-B-Q sauce was so because the sweet version taste more like vinegar, also don’t call it banana puddin if you not gonna put bananas in it, also traditional southern macaroni&cheese has sharp or mild cheese in it not cheese sauce as I had. The best thing I ordered was the tea and baked beans….who ever made those beans did them some justice.

Delicious barbeque! Everything we ordered was excellent. The pulled pork wasn’t dry at all, and the chicken salad was excellent! The turkey is absolutely amazing, we were very surprised, usually when we order turkey it’s very dry; but this one wasn’t dry at all and simply out of this world!

This place was such a great fund! The prices are absolutely fantastic! Some things we tried and absolutely loved were pulled pork, brisket, and their fries. Some things that were amazing were the fried green beans and pimento cheese. We could not stop eating! Anna M. was so sweet and accommodating. I’m positive anytime we are traveling we will have to find our way back here!
