Drawing from his love of Northern Italian food, Chef Gilson brings the flavors and feasts from Italy to our modern, dinner only restaurant. Ingredients of the dishes highlight the farms, fishers, and foragers of New England. Guests can dine on composed platters of crudos, salads, and small bites to start their meal. Housemade pastas, local seafood, and fresh butchered meats are the highlight of an evening at Geppetto – all concluded by desserts from one of the city’s leading pastry chefs, Brian Mercury.

Had an amazing meal at Geppetto during my most recent trip to Boston, it’s such a cute place with delicious food! We got the fried mozzarella, grilled focaccia, lobster Campanelle, and tried each of the vegetables and everything was incredible. For dessert we got the semifreddo which was so yummy. I also tried their sgroppino which was delicious. The staff were wonderful too they were all super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Overall this place was a 10/10

What an amazing gem!! So easy to get to from the green line, and it’s in that fun new Cambridge Crossing area.

We went to Gepetto for a 5:30 Saturday reservation. It wasn’t crowded at all and the staff was friendly. The food was to die for. We got the focaccia with white bean dip, garlic bread, and buratta to start all of which were so amazing. My husband got the blog es- the sauce was perfectly balanced with a great meat variety. The pasta was perfectly chewy. I got the carbonara and while it was delicious, it’s not for the faint of heart. The sauce was very rich with a sharper cheese blend and tangy panchetta. We both got mockails which were both so fab. Will be comming back!

What a wonderful meal! My husband and I came here for my birthday dinner and we loved every bite of it. The braided garlic bread has a mix of wonderful textures and flavors – just the right amount of garlic too! We probably wouldn’t order the fried eggplant again (partially because we want to try so many other things!). It was heavy on garlic but still a good dish. The amatriciana and agnolotti pastas were both so good. We’ll definitely be back!

[UPDATE: The restaurant did reach out to me personally and offered their sincerest apologies for the service around this visit. The management staff does seem to show concern for their guests’ input and has taken the time to personally contact me, apologize, and attempt to make this right. THAT is more than many places do today. Because of this concern and for fairness to them, I will give them another chance. My next return trip to Boston this fall will see a return visit at Gepetto and see if the experience has changed. If they truly do care about all their patrons and desire to present them with the best dining experience possible. I will provide another update and amended review at that time]

Geppetto is a fantastic restaurant that somehow seems to be flying a little too much under the radar, for the quality of the food that they prepare. Everything – from their breads and crudos, through their appetizers and pastas and all to way to their desserts – was absolutely delicious. The quality of the food is very high, without the pretense – just a very solid and honest cooking. They certainly know their flavors, which are classic, comforting and relatable, and most people should be able to find lots of things to love on the menu.

This was a fun place to try. Solo chair in the back, and took a sampling of a few dishes. The coconut shrimp toast was by far my favorite and was definitely something different to try. Service was great, atmosphere was nice. Prices were just right for what you get.

Good food pricy though. The potatoes focaccia is good but too much expensive for $9 and a small piece (serves 2). Other appetizers are good but again small and expensive. Main course ribeye …. Good tender meat … cooked in the right way… intended to be shared but small for 2. Finished with affogato….
