Super excited for to try this out. Service was a little slow. Food was good but didn’t seem to match the expensive price. Chicken nachos hardly had chicken. No real way to have chips and salsa with queso with out ordering two appetizers. Cauliflower app was great though and guacamole was good. Just not positive it’s worth the prices especially for lunch.

Food was good as expected but they gave us stale chips (chips-and-salsa is NOT free. Paid $9) and replaced with fresh ones. House margarita was $13. In general it just doesn’t feel right paying $95 for two people dinner at Mexican restaurant.

I went to Gezzo’s last night for Cinco de Mayo with some friends, and it was fantastic! The shared apps were excellent and plenty for a group of five people. I thought both the regular and smoked flavors of the salsa were good and I’m a salsa person. The big cheese dip and tater tots are a must-try. I also had a Paloma, which was a bright and refreshing. Parking is not a problem in the area, which is often a worry in Atlanta.

We were sad that juniper cafe left this location but were pleasantly surprised at the replacement. Gezzo’s gives a healthy vibe of your favorite Mexican dishes. I had the white peach Paloma which was delicious. Also had a margarita with a grand marnier float – . Queso and guacamole were full of flavor. The chips are AMAZING. We went through several baskets before our food came. The shrimp rice bowl is a great healthy option and full of flavor. The carne asada tacos were 3/5 – the meat tasted burnt/charred and I hate that taste. Will be back to try other items. They also have an authentic Mexican ice cream stand in the restaurant. The mango gelato is so good!

Great addition to Atlanta’s Westside. When you walk in the door you were met with a warm and relaxing atmosphere that transfers you to a quaint, but fun, seaside cantina. When I walked in one of the first thing I noticed, was the bar with the individual swing seats. There are also some larger swing seats out on the patio. We opted to dine outside.

This new cantina is walking distance from our house so we were very excited to try it. We went on the first Saturday it was open, during lunch time. It wasn’t super crowded, but like I said, it was the first weekend. The queso was great but my only criticism is the bowl it came it. While it was very aesthetic, it was wide and shallow which made it difficult to scoop up the dip! The Paloma was amazing and had a nice refreshing carbonation. The fajita burrito was covered in queso and was dense with veggies, rice, and beans. The rice bowl did not have a ton of flavor on its own, but I spiced it up with some habanero drops and hot sauce.

I’ve eaten here a couple of times since they opened and overall I definitely recommend it for a nice meal out! The atmosphere is great and it’s very lovely inside and in the covered patio area. The ice cream counter is a fun experience and a nice treat too! The food is delicious! It is just a little pricey like a lot of things in the area and it’s very similar to Bone Garden and also somewhat with Nuevo Laredo, but I think you get a little more food at those other two. They also charge for substitutions and the menu is a little limited. That being said, the food is really well prepared and great quality, so it is definitely enjoyable even if it does have some tough competition in the other Mexican restaurants nearby. It would be nice if they could offer 3 tacos for the $16 price instead of 2 tacos. Or maybe have chips and salsa or aguas frescas be included or added on for a lower price with the certain menu items. A little change or two like that would definitely make me a little more likely to visit again. Service is good overall, but each time they were just slow to take our order and bring the check and still getting the hang of things I think. Very friendly staff though! Like I said, overall I definitely will be going again and I really like the experience of eating there overall! I probably won’t order takeout much from here given the price (and the competition at places nearby like Yumbii) and the fact that the experience of eating there seems to be more so worth it IMO, but I’d like to dine there again sometime 🙂

I got the guacamole and chicken fajita burrito, both were really good. They have Mexican coke too which I’d never had before. This is different from the Moe’s style gezzo restaurant chains that I’ve eaten at before. It’s similar to authentic Mexican restaurants but “west-coast” as they describe it. It’s a little pricey but so is most everything in this area. I’ll be back for sure, it’s a new restaurant so everything is really nice.
