The food is excellent. That’s about it for the positives.

Food is delicious when made accordingly to the customers request. I order an Italian Beef and sausage combo dip with hot peppers and cheese, only to receive a dry without hot peppers and small portion of beef sandwich!! There was nothing and I mean nothing appealing about it. When I tried to bring my concerns to the young man that sold me the sandwich for 11$ he seemed to have had an attitude with me. So I seen he really wasn’t to concerned about correcting it and that’s when I asked for a refund. People like myself work to hard for my money to be treated in this manner and I even left a tip!!!

Great Italian beef sandwiches, wet or dipped completely. Spicy and/or sweet peppers, and cheese optional. I only get Italian beef as it is so good. Eventually I might try some others but haven’t found a reason to yet.

Been here about 6 times and its gotten worse every time They don’t seem to care about to go orders so if you have crippling social anxiety I’d recommend flying weenie. Always forget the cheese sauce, this most recent visit my meat is mostly gristle and fat and again no cheese sauce. I can take the hint delivery orders are nothing but an inconvenience to these guys. My apologies for using a service you offer…

Really good Italian beef. It was not busy when I went in and the staff were kind. The Italian ice is definitely worth a visit.

The staff? Friendly and helpful enough. The food and atmosphere? God awful. 2000s pop songs play while you look at pictures of a little girl that were clearly taken on a cell phone and then blown up to be on canvas so they look grainy and weird. Then you get cold soggy fries that have that old oil taste. Then for the Italian beef. If you ask for it dry they still handle it with wet gloves leaving you with a sandwich that looks and feels like it’s sat in the rain. For $30 for two people I expected a lot better. My lunch went in the garbage and with the wait it took to get it I had no time to go somewhere before heading back to the office.

It’s the only place I know of in CR to get a legit Chicago Italian beef, so I support Gianna’s full stop. The beef is the real deal. I haven’t tried the Chicago dog yet, but I see the Vienna Beef sign in the window so I presume it’s authentic as well. But: a few suggestions. First, it takes a while for the food prep. I get it, this ain’t McDonald’s – quality takes time. But, if you’re making folks wait (especially with counter service) then give them folks a number and bring it out. Take a cue from Chick-fil-a. It’s a small thing that would make a big difference. Second, if you ask for a tip when I ring up (using credit/debit) I’m more likely to do it if you bring the food out. Just a thought.

Overall, I would say my experience was under par. The Italian Beef was comparable to what you might get in Chicago, but I had to wait a long time to get my food. Many other orders were called before mine even though I ordered first. If waiting doesn’t bother you, then this is trivial information. When the food did arrive, the fries were cold. I noticed the fries were under heat lamps. Unfortunately, heat lamps don’t help maintain freahness either. As for beverages, when I got there, we could select from 5 fountain drinks. When I went to refill my drink, there was only 1 option.

Had a couple very dry Italians sausages & some very good ones too. Service is very lacking after multiple visits. Especially when they first open its super slow. Took over 30min to get food & there was only 3 ppl (1order) in front of me. 1 gentleman walked out after 10min in line & no counter help. 2nd time they didn’t have pasta salad ready. 30min for 1 Italian sausage. Consistently inconsistent. It was a close lunch option but might as well drive somewhere with the wait times the way they’ve been lately. The service is killing this place. Too bad because the food is good.
