I am disappointed in the jumbo hard crabs I can’t put my finger on how they were steamed got a dozen some of the crabs were light and black inside lings and outside shells and so dry you couldn’t get the meat out of the claws the others were moderately heavy but under the shell the mustard and meat was mushy but the claws didn’t expel water when picked had to rinse them i think they must have used a shovel to season ate then cold not to ruin i am just so curious how they were steamed we purchased a dozen softshells thought i bought male didn’t know you could get female softshells the softshell crabs were delicious heavy great taste when cooked in just four and butter the packaging was spot on for it was a gift for out of state the ice packs were still frozen solid after four hours drive just wished the hard crabs were better

Awesome service, good food, crabs are delicious I gave the food a 4 because my wife bought fried flounder platter and was disappointed the fish was very dry. It looked beautiful so I tried it and indeed it was very dry. We didn’t eat it. The crab cake Sliders are a hit.

Visited your location on Friday, August 4th around 2:35pm and ordered an X-Large fried soft crab to go for lunch. Usually I buy them fresh & bring home to cook for myself but was limited on time. What I received was a small soft crab that was not coated & was barely fried plus soggy. Very disappointed…will never order to go! What I received must have been frozen!

I made a pre-order for jumbo crabs for my friend’s visit on the weekend. The order was 2 days before the visit, and the staff told me jumbo size would be available on the day I wanted. The crabs were very fresh and I paid when I picked up. I think this is one of the best places if you want to make an order for crab pick up.

We have been going to Gibby’s for years and probably at least one a week for the past year for everything from crawfish, crab soup, to fish, to lobster, to all of the salads.. Never had a problem. Sunday 8/29/21 at 4pm my husband and I ordered one dozen XL crabs for 109$ for us and another couple and we were so disappointed. Half of them them were under sized (see pics) under the 6.5 inch mark and a few of them were even cold when we started to eat them despite being told they just got out of the pot. I called the manager who was terribly unhelpful. We had company here and I explained that to her but nevertheless she Told me to bring the USED shells back to see if they would refund my money because we were clearly ripped off. I told her it was super inconvenient, we have been coming there for years and that a credit should be given to me and put in the book at the register and she declined and said she couldn’t do anything without the shells. I told her I am happy to send her a copy of the receipt (again had company over)and the pictures we took and still she declined so I told her they would lose a long time customer and she didn’t seem to care. We always get XL crabs we know the sizes they should be at 6.5-7.0 inches point to point which is also advertised on the Gibbys website. There is a huge difference at 75$ a doz for large crabs which is a majority of what we got vs the x large which we paid 109$. We won’t be returning. Crabs are incredibly expensive right now and to waste money on them is unacceptable. Check your crabs before you go home. I give the 2 stars because we have never had a problem there before but whoever was in charge that day lost a customer. Sorry Charlie.
