The lady at the front is so rude! I came in waited 10 minutes nobody came out. I ask for a menu she gives me a snotty attitude. Then denied my refund.

Place was clean and the guy at the front was friendly. However… Not what I ordered. Unless pad thai is suppose to have a hint of basil no peanuts, no lime, no green onion, have a bit of spice and a hint of BBQ sauce. The noodles were overcooked. My guess is they messed up what I ordered. Unless this is how they make pad thai, in which case no thank you. First and last time ordering here. Which is sad because it looks nice, and the guy at the front seemed like a nice person. The broccoli also seemed overcooked.

I haven’t been to Gilbert’s in sometime, while I was in town I took a 1 hour road trip there to get some egg rolls , well to my surprise it was a third the size wasn’t happy the lady at the counter rudely said that was 10 years ago , I don’t think uncle Gilbert would be happy about that , I have to say it did taste good.

Loved their egg rolls growing up, stopped in for a quick one while waiting in the area with a few minutes to kill. Lady working estimated 5-10 minutes for 1 eggroll so I waited inside … 25 minutes later and the egg roll finally came out. The woman working was very rude. Another gentleman came to pick up his order during that time and also commented on her rudeness. Eggroll was bland and gritty and nothing like they were growing up. Definitely won’t be back.

I use to love the food but I guess they changed owners. Egg roll much smaller and insides didn’t taste good just a bunch of mush. Chicjen Efy was ok but Gravy was watery with no taste. We we’re not sure what happened to the bbq pork fried rice but it wasn’t right. Last was the sweet and sour chicken. The chicken was great but the sauce had such little pieces of the vegetables that it was just sweet. Well, even though I use to love this place no more. We will not be back.

Gilbert’s Kitchen aka Gilbert’s Chop Suey is the best Chinese! I honestly recommend not getting anything else besides their jumbo egg rolls with their sweet sauce! It’s always better as a leftover for whatever reason! But this stuff slaps!

Woman at the counter was rude. Didn’t want to sell two large white rices, she said they were running out and doubled down by saying she just didn’t want to. Even if I’m paying??!!! With that said, I bought a rice and soup so I could pay via credit. Soup had no flavor. I frequented this restaurant years ago. I moved , came back and must say I’ll never return again. It was empty and she was rude. That told me everything I needed to know.
