I’ve walked by this restaurant so many times and finally went here for dinner. Not sure what it was like before but after going in the newly owned and renovated restaurant I was so impressed how beautiful it was inside. The staff was pleasant and welcoming. We enjoyed our visit and will go back to try other choices on the menu which I found a lot of healthy options.

Great food and the prices were fair. They have something for everyone: a lot of popular Pub food but also some interesting entrées with seasonal specials always changing. If you sit out on the deck you’ll feel like you’re on vacation. Inside is nice and cozy. You could tell it is family run as the service just seemed comfortable, happy and “family”. Wow. This is some of the best food we’ve had in a long time. I had to Ruben and absolutely loved it my wife had the pilgrim and thought it was pretty neat even the kids plates they all enjoyed them but you’ve got to try the sweet potatoes they are. Amazing. Some of the best I’ve ever had

Kudos to the Gillis family for taking over a historical location that needed love and care and giving it more than a breath of life. The building looks lively now. The food is not the same as the last business. The Food here is fresh. The Food is Fantastically curated into one menu. The copper topped bar is like nowhere else. This is Plymouth’s new top sports bar. Gillis tavern has a 140” television wall with another 14 television around the premise. Want to be taken care of tonight? Look no further. Gillis Tavern deserves this 5 star review.

Take out Sunday am. Frickles, two greek salads, one with grilled chicken, one with fried, and chicken tenders. Tenders were awesomely delicious. The fried side was nice and tender and warm. The grilled was very dry and hard. We had to shred it to make it less chewy. The grilled portion was about 2 times more than the fried. Our order was early at 11:30 am. I think the chicken was not grilled to order, maybe in the fridge from the day before, they might have felt bad and gave us extra, see pics. Even take out should be warm and moist and soft. Frickles, $9.99 for 13 pickles fried. I know prices are high everywhere but this,… sometimes, I feel take out is not the same portions or quality as dining in. Greek salad olives were black olives from a can, they should switch to authentic greek olives. Tomotoes were roasted and tasty, a nice difference, cucumbers mia. We decided to give it a try after touring Plymouth. Very happy we did. Everything was hot and delicious. I got the special Thai pizza and it was so good. My husband tried the loaded potato pizza and couldn’t finish it, very filling. They have a wide variety of choices, we would definitely go back!

Great place recommend by a neighbor, definitely will be in our rotation. Typical Pub Food menu, something for everyone. We had nachos as an app which were great. Our table had baked haddock, rubin sandwich, grilled chicken on a salad & turkey tips. Everyone loved their food.
