This is one of my absolute favorite lunch spots, especially on Wednesdays. Wednesday is chicken liver day, and all I can say is WOW! They are always cooked and seasoned perfectly. The staff is very friendly and helpful, which can be rare at other places, sadly.

Parking lot was empty, so I thought they might value a customer. Entered. Not a single table occupied. Approached cafeteria buffet style area. Food looked cold / old / stale / unappetizing at 8:30 am. Waited there for several minutes while employees with their backs to me were laughing and talking, ignoring me. No eye contact. No smile. No “be with you in a minute” or apology for the delay. Looked around. Noticed three televisions with Fox “News” showing to the empty room, and one was tilted so the staff could watch it while they worked. Asked a staffer if they could change one of the Three to CNN. She said the manager doesn’t allow it. She.offered to ask the manager. on my behalf. I explained that I majored in Journalism, and Fox “News” was not a News station, but a Propaganda Station preaching to Sheeple. She asked the manager who glared and bristled. The answer was NO!

TRUCK Parking in back. Take the side street past the store. Wife and I had the Fried Chicken. We got here at 2pm on a Monday 30 min before they closed– they didn’t make is feel rushed. We both had Fried chicken breasts Fried ocra, deviled eggs, Cole slaw, potato salad, corn bread, iced tea, peach cobbler, mashed potatoes gravy. Could barely walk out…. total was 16.73.

I eat here a couple times a week. There is decent meat and three. Fox News and ACC football is ways on the TVs. My favorite thing is the Beef Stew on Thursdays.

My employer bought all of us a plate and I took one bite of my macaroni and cheese and pulled a hair out of my mouth. That is nasty and disgusting and I will never eat at this place again and everyone I have told so far agrees they will never eat at this place again either. Absolutely disgusting!!!!
