Excellent food served by quality folks. One of the best meals I’ve had in Phoenix. Wish I’d had space in the belly to try their sopaipilla

Quaint Mexican dive with odd hours, closed on the weekends and split open hours during the week as they are closed from 2-5pm. The food was good, staying with traditional New Mexico style of cooking, not your typical enchilada sauce here as to green or red sauce or salsa verde and salsa rojo. Try the christmas tree style burrito or chile relleno, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Welcome to New Mexico without leaving Phoenix. Small family-owned with a delicious assortment family-recipe foods. Patio dining with a view of a mountain is available. Really worth trying.

Gil’s has great food and excellent service! He even brought the food to our after wedding get together early 2016. I still get comments about how good the food was! We don’t go out to eat often but eat here regularly.

Good selection. Had the burrito which was really good but nothing to write home about. Salsa for the chips were amazing though! Will come back again to try other stuff.

Googled their hours. Went 20 minutes out of my way to try them. They were closed at 1 pm. Very dissapointing. I’m from California, so I won’t give them a second chance
