We have ordered twice this year (June 2023) and both experiences were very good. The new owners are doing there best to serve the public as they learn how popular this pizza place has always been in the past! My family ordered the meat lovers pizza and I ordered the gluten free crust with veggies and no cheese. We all loved our pizzas. They are as good or better than ever! They have had recent failure of an oven, so it resulted in longer waiting time, but I assure you it was worth the wait.

Make sure to order ahead of time! The wait to order in the restaurant is absolutely insane – one hour (there is no sit down area inside like in the past). The cheese pizza was pretty salty, the meat lovers was good however, it is apparent that it was rushed. Would not be as bold as the other reviewers to call it the best pizza on the island, but it’s pretty alright.

After being an annual visitor for years we went in June of 2023. The new owner was unprofessional and very rude not only to his customers but also the two young employee doing their best. I called in an order of seafood pizza and repeated twice, and he repeated it back to me. I was told it would be and hour and fifteen minutes. Upon arriving there were about fifteen customers who had been waiting up to two and a half hours. While waiting I witnessed the owner bring his two employees to tears multiple when they would try to help or ask a simple question. He had a wrong order with customer in front of me and when she told him it was he said “it’s not wrong, I took the order” then when my pizza and it was incorrect he told me he took the order and they do not offer that pizza and not once apologized or acted with remorse or professionalism. I asked to refund and he refused, and said he’d make me anything but with the backlog of customers of two and a half hours I turned that offer down. While we were waiting the owner came out and was talking to us about how wonderful the new of selection of cheese on the pizza but did not assist in helping his costumers or his cashier employees. Very disappointed in the manner he conducted himself, especially to his young employees who were very apologetic and doing their best. I am understanding of a busy and backlogged night, especially for a place this popular, but I am not okay with bringing employees to tears and being rude to costumers.

The Gingerbread House was so gracious and treated us like family! We each ordered a small pie(the Greek and the Meat Lovers) and we are happy to report that all the ingredients were fresh and the taste took us back to New York! Tom, the owner, spent time with us and even offered us fresh canollis for stopping by! So if you are visiting the Cape it is a must stop! You won’t be disappointed! Dissapointing. Have been eating gingerbread pizza for years and always loved the robust sauce and great crust (hand tossed) The crust is thinner and the sauce no longer has any flavor. There is also noticeably less toppings and cheese. Sorry to no longer be able to get the gingerbread pizza we loved.
