Beautiful atmosphere but I was highly disappointed in the food. The drinks were good, but lots of ice. Best dish was the 4 plantains. Conch fritters would have been tasty but the conch was very difficult to chew.

Beautiful venue and fabulous location! The service is friendly, quick, and attentive. The menu was okay. We weren’t dazzled with what we ordered, but we’ll definitely give it another try and find something delicious. Make reservations for sure (for all of Charleston, really). They have a beautiful patio which has umbrellas. Depending on the time of day, however (brunch), you’ll still be sitting in full sunshine. We sat inside and enjoyed the air conditioner and no humidity

This is a nice little restaurant on busy South Market in downtown Charleston. They get a lot of walk-in traffic but it’s best to make reservations. The menu is not large and is an interesting combination of Caribbean and Mexican. A small but adequate wine and beer list. The decor is bright and fresh and there is variety of seating including a lot of bar seating that looked inviting. Wait staff is young but competent and was very helpful in describing several of entree selections. Noise level was good, not great but good. We were a party of four and got to sample several appetizers and entrees. Food was fine although nothing exceptional. The Papas Bravos had an interesting take and was very good. Overall the restaurant is a good addition to the touristy market area. We give it three and one half clams on the coveted Five Quahog Rating Scale.

Just had lunch for the first time Love the atmosphere. We sat outside which was very Nice. You can sit there and look at the market as the horse and buggies go by.

Decided spontaneously to stop in for lunch and got a nice table outside. Decor is fun and really enjoyed everything. Especially the sauces! The “special” sauce with the fries and the sauce that came with the plantains. Sweet bean burger was great.

Gingerline is seriously one of the cutest restaurants in Charleston! The decor is so cute and trendy and in the most convenient spot, making it walkable to most things! But what really makes this place special is the food – it’s seriously some of the best I had Charleston! From the flourless brownie to oysters, the delicious espresso martini and the cocktail with egg whites, everything was top-notch. And the staff? They’re super sweet and attentive! They went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience, and it really made all the difference.

Super cute place to get brunch. Not a whole lot on the menu so definitely look before sitting down. Absolutely adorable in here, would recommend. Food was pretty good but nothing crazy

Pretty restaurant, loved eating out on the patio! The drinks were great, and the polenta shareable was our fave dish we ordered! We got the steak and the tacos, too.
