We came in on a Wednesday night at 7pm and were seated right away. The atmosphere was great — the music was lively, the furniture was new and stylish, and there were two seating areas to choose from, one by the bar with TVs showing different ball games, and one away from the bar with nice booths and big tables.

Was my first time here, at least in its new incarnation, I was a huge fan of the old ginza restaurant in Madison, don’t know if it is the same management but this new one blows the old one out of the water, and don’t get me wrong I loved the old one. You have plenty of options here for quality sushi, hibachi, udon, soup and basically anything you could want in a Japanese restaurant. The wait staff were kind, courteous, and willing to explain anything from the menu you may not know. This review is currently being typed while I still eat, a rare occurrence for me but I want it all fresh in my mind. The pictures included are from about halfway through the meal and the plating and presentation is gorgeous. The food’s taste may be the best taste of any sort of Asian restaurant that I’ve had in recent memory. Thing can be a little pricier here but there are plenty of less expensive options that look just as good but even then, the quality and amount you receive is entirely worth it and even then can’t be considered unreasonable. It wasn’t very busy when we went but I hope that people discover this amaaaazing Japanese restaurant because I know for a fact I’ll be recommending to all of my friends.

Only giving two stars because the server was very nice. Our food came out hot and fast but there is no flavor. The fried rice never touched a pan. The sushi is bland. Tried deep fried and regular rolls. Headed to get fast food now. Should have known that it was bad when it is empty on a Friday night.

The main issue we had here was that the food took incredibly long to come out. Everything tasted good, including the drinks, but I just don’t see coming back here in person again to dine in. The dining area is also a little too quiet, which makes it hard to have a normal conversation.

Went today and received the lunch special. Everything was really good except my “eel and avocado roll” looked more like just avocado roll. I love the spicy tuna and salmon so much though. Definitely coming back
