The place was completely empty when I got there. I ordered the Chicken Cacciatore. The meal was great. Side salad with creamy balsamic was pretty good. The bread wasn’t very good. Some was hot, some was cold. Came with cold butter packets which was impossible to spread on the soft bread. Meal showed up shortly after I finished the salad so the timing was great. The dish was very par. Just what I expected, no better or worse. My friend ordered the Chicken Marsala. The wine wasn’t reduced enough, the mushrooms seemed to be thrown on top as the left no flavor in the sauce, and the marinara seemed over simmered. We then sat there for 25 minutes after we finished waiting for the waitress to come by. We were still the only table in the restaurant. The hostess even walked to every table in the restaurant polishing the glass on the table and didn’t bother asking if we needed anything. I paid the tab without looking and the recipt came back very high. I asked for the itemized receipt to see the waitress charged us an extra $9.50 for our side salads that came with the meal. She fixed the error without issue. It was a mix of good and bad service along with good and bad food. However, the inability to properly charge us was unacceptable. Especially for paying $65 for 2 with tip for something I could have had cheaper, with better ingredients, better execution, better service, and about the same price in downtown Healdsburg.

Great quiet place ready to find off the road. Quick service. Has a tv on in the bar. Food is served at the correct temperature. Seems like the community supports the restaurant. The portions are good sized. The servers check on you regularly. The Italian food seems to be lacking in spices. Italian food should not be bland. The garlic bread was seasoned well but the pasta was not.

Homey, rustic. It hasn’t been updated in awhile, but the food is good, and the staff is friendly. Best pizza in Healdsburg I am pretty sure. Basic and New York style. Fun to see the pizza guy/gal toss the dough.

About a year-and-a-half ago I stopped in this restaurant after a long ride around the country on my scooter from Michigan via Route 66 to the Coast Highway I’d been on the road for about 12 weeks when I happened on this restaurant, needless to say I wasn’t smelling good and a tad tattered. I was greeted by the waitresses or servers who I believe we’re related to the owner possibly daughters. I was made to feel like family I needed this at this point in my journey. The food was delicious the wine was scrumptious and the company was great. I will be certain to return on my next go around…..

We walked in the door and waited at least 10 min to get seated in a place with a half dozen or more open tables. We only got sat because I went to the bartend r asking for a table. The food was very slow, it was 30 plus minutes to get our meals. The attentiveness of the waitress for drink refills was not great but part of that was due to them using small glasses, so refills are needed quickly if you are thirsty. All in all go someplace else.

To start off with the food was good. How ever the service was terrible. The waitress was awful. It took probably 15 plus minutes to get set down and then probably a half hour for the waitress to come get our order. Another half hour-45 minutes to get food that was not even what we ordered and my husband had to go get drinks himself because the waitress didnt even bring them. The lady who brought us wine was nice and seemed on top of things but other than that and the food it was a terrible experience and I would not reccomend this place.

This place adds some much needed comfortable charm to Healdsburg. The food is delicious and affordable. The place looks rough around the edges, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. It feels so comfy in there and kind of like I went back in a time machine to a Italian place in the late 70s.

I give them 4.5 stars! I just ate there with my family tonight for the 1st time, I had the Veal Scallopini, my husband had the meat lasagna, dad had the Veal Cutlet Parmigiana, and mom had the Eggplant Parmiagiana. We ordered a side of mushrooms which were amazing! After dinner we ordered dessert and were extremely pleased with not only the taste and portion, but the fact that it is made fresh by the restaurant. I wish their salads include some green leaf lettuce in addition to the iceberg, but the dressings tasted home-made. The servings are a very fair size, especially considering that all the entrees are below $20. They are more expensive than most of their online menus suggest (I think they may just be out of date), but my veal was only $19.50 and worth every penny. The wait staff are super friendly and helpful. Our one and only complaint…. no air conditioning and the main dining room has no ceiling fans either so it can get a bit stuffy and warm. This place is a must eat if you want delicious hometown Italian food.
