The new owners are quickly turning this into one of the best pizza/pasta/calzone places there is! Had the pleasure of talking the the wonderful duo that have taken it over and am excited by what they have planned(including new menu and remodeling). My son and I needed some grub after a long weekend of moving households… Starting out with their made from scratch breadsticks and marinara sauce… The flavor of the two are great on their own, put them together for a combination that can’t be beat. Then on to the pizza… I had the go to for me Hawaiian, which the flavor of the crust and toppings coming together with the marinara made my taste buds very happy and my stomach very full. My son had the garlic chicken with bacon. The Alfredo sauce and other toppings, with again a very delicious crust were amazing… Multiple times he gave me the nod of approval while hungrily enjoying bite after bite. I know that we will definitely be back many, many times in the future, not just for the amazing food, but to see the renovation that will be coming back with some amazing old family recipes topping it all off! Great Job Ladies!!

Wow ! Delicious I was not disappointed at all it definitely hit the spot ! So this is the second time in a week I have been here I can honestly say this is the best pizza around and I know it will only get better as time goes by thanks for such a great pizza. Okay I have been here a few times now and all I can say is WOW ! Mattie runs a great shop and is super friendly the food is amazing .So I have been coming here for a while now and have never had a bad experience tonight was probably the best calzone I have ever had and the cheese bread was wonderful !

Gio’s has become our favorite pizza place around; for our Italian-American family, that is saying something. There are plenty of great pizza and pasta options, and the quality of the ingredients is top notch; it’s great to find a calzone locally. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, especially the new owner, Madi.

This is our new favorite pizza place. The jalapeno bread sticks were beyond delicious. The calzones were perfect. Also had the best meat lovers pizza around. Service was amazing. Can’t say enough about this place. Go check out this pizzeria and you won’t be disappointed.

I have liked Gio’s pizza for years. Was sad to see it had closed. Always loved being able to go get a “hot and ready” cheese pizza for cheap. I am happy to see it was reopened under new owners with same recipes and vendors. I don’t know that they’re still going to have the walk in special for a quick cheap pizza (I do understand times have changed and there is inflation now). I’m still excited to try and had to give 5 start review based on my experience with Gio’s for years. Even prior when it was 5 buck pizza. Gio’s kept that same taste that I loved in middle school so many years ago at sunset jr in 2003.

I’m been in the area for several years and just discovered this little gem. Some of the best pizza I’ve had. I tried the BBQ Chicken and my son had the Hawaiian. Perfect sauce to topping ration and perfectly cooked. I will be going more often now that I found it.

We moved to Syracuse almost 2 years ago and have now FINALLY found our pizza place! The pizza was AMAZING! The new owner is SO NICE and helpful. My kids loved it and said we aren’t going anywhere else. So from here on out, Gio’s on Antelope is our family night pizza place!
