I had the Marcella that was OK. I can tell they put a lot of care into making it. It wasnt bad, just not toy taste.

Everything was perfect. Beautiful atmosphere, nice waiter, food was excellent, but the tiramisu was awesome!

Was blown away with both the service and taste of food! My hubby had the chicken parm and I had lasagna. Sauce was fresh with chunks of tomato, ample amount of cheese and portions were generous. Best service we’ve had in awhile. Definitely recommend!

Storm Lake finally has a decent restaurant. Great service, nice atmosphere, tasty food and ample portions. The owner is first class! No paper napkins here. A great place to celebrate a special occasion or just a date night. 5 stars for this one!

This is in my opinion the best restaurant hands down in the little town of Storm lake. The service is Class A; the owner Giovanni is a very polite and welcoming host. I have become a regular here and I am very happy an Italian restaurant finally came to this fast food infested town. The food is fresh and tasteful( highly recommend Giovanni’s Chicken )not completely overpriced.

I do not like giving bad reviews but I felt like I had to. The food was super bland, ranch tasted watered down, and the menu was difficult to understand. The server did not know how to pronounce or describe what it entailed. Was super excited to try something new but we will definitely stick to The Regretta Grill.

It was so dark in the restaurant I needed a flashlight to read the menu. Ridiculous to have it so dark. I had the seafood alfredo. The alfredo sauce was no better than the stuff you get in a jar at Wal Mart. On the plus side there were plenty of shrimp and the waiter was polite and we had a pop glasses filled without asking for it. . I am glad we went at lunchtime. $15 apiece for lunch was a bit much for small town Iowa. . I would hate to see the prices in the evening. I have no desire to go back again.

I am so glad we have Giovanni’s Italian Restaurant in town. I was there for dinner on Saturday, June 24 (packed night–one of the first few fully open days), and then for lunch on Tuesday, June 27 (to welcome St. Mary’s new associate, Fr. Michael Cronin). I ordered off the menu the first night–really wanted Penne Arrabbiata. They prepared it with Italian sausage; the dish was delicious. I had the Veal Piccata on Tues. That was delicious, too. The Tiramisu and the Italian Creme Cake are delicious desserts. Others greatly enjoyed he cheesecake. Why not 5 stars: only because they don’t yet have a good wine list or well-stocked bar. BUT that will be coming. The service was good and very friendly–am sure practice will make them all the better.

We had been to this Italian restaurant a couple times in the past and enjoyed it which is why I give 3 stars however our last visit deserves 1 star. Went on a Sunday at just after noon. Our was only car in parking lot which made me wonder if it was open even though neon sign said open. We went in and was seated right away and we were only ones there. Seemed hot and stuffy in there. Lady who sat us asked what we wanted to drink before we were even sat and didnt answer(or seem to understand) when my wife asked what drink products they carried, so we just said water. Didnt offer anything about the menu or any specials just sat menu down. Didnt take long for us to decide as we kinda already knew what we wanted however after waiting 20 minutes for any attention at all and still only ones in there felt no confidence in place so we left without ordering. Had always been greeted pleasantly and attentively in the past. Very disappointing and couldnt even tell anyone because the only lady in there didnt seem to even care whether we were there or not and didnt seem to understand basic questions.

Took a chance early. Had heard no reports. Both my wife and I were impressed. The veal piccatta was excellent. Keep in mind, it just opened. We live near Omaha, so the standard we used was from there.
