Girl & the Goat offers a fresh take on new American cuisine. The menu is pretty expansive and offers a lot of variety from green beans to goat curry. Cocktails are beautifully crafted and deliciously balanced. Wine list is extensive with plenty of options for the perfect pairing. Service is also top notch and extremely efficient. It’s a large restaurant but it maintains a bright airy ambiance without feeling rushed.

Our kids took us here for Father’s Day brunch. The Goat and the Girl, a hidden gem nestled in the vibrant Art District of Downtown LA. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with great vibes and an inviting atmosphere that set the stage for a memorable dining experience. Our father’s day brunch it exceeded my expectations in more ways than one.

Went here for a girl’s brunch and it was amazing. They have fun delicious boozy drinks and the food is delicious. My only con is that I wish the dishes were bigger but maybe it was just because they were so yummy. Some dishes can be a little heavy so maybe it’s a health reason to keep the portions as is. The dishes are plated beautifully and the kitchen is open so you know the quality of food is excellent. For the price this place is totally worth it. I heard dinner is even better.

The restaurant is super cute. Very trendy. The food was good, we went for brunch. Everything was made well and seasoned well. It wasn’t mind blowing but it was still good. The outdoor seating area was nice. Sadly we didn’t get the cinnamon roll, they said they didn’t have any since the batch was burnt. Such a bummer. Service was good, recommended great dishes. Checked on us often. Parking is either street (some free, very rare, and some metered) or garage. The garage parking was convenient since it’s right behind the restaurant. Although, be prepared to pay like $16 of you stay past 2 hours.

Everything about this place was thoughtfully and intentionally done. We went for dinner as a group of 6 and we asked our server to make all the decisions for us and we were not disappointed. There wasn’t one bad dish. Our favorites were the beef that fell off the bones and you could make into little wraps with the naan or lettuce and the lamb which was cooked so perfectly. All of the vegetarian dishes were good too- the beet salad and there was one with greens and shrimp. the hummus with the naan.

Very nice experience!! They tried to push us a lot to get more dishes but it made sense because the shared plates were not that much food. It was all very delicious but the amount of meat on each dish was pretty small, even to share. Nonetheless, the food was fantastic, the service was great, and the restaurant is very beautiful!

My partner and I had reservations for 730 checked in before hand hung out inside on a bench and absorbed the room. We were seated promptly I think it’s a restaurant that doesn’t take it’s self seriously and produces high quality meals, flavors and a sensory overload which then justify it’s prices. The amazing attentive staff would routinely check in on us and more than once asked if we wanted clean new plates (I’m not that fancy). Alex was our server for the night and went above and beyond in treating us to a duck tartar and sherbet to end the night. I was full going into the next day. My partner picked a wine from a northern part of France which tasted refreshing and fresh. I will definitely come back and love every experience of it. Sidenote: I counted about 5 tables that came to celebrate birthdays and got the candle in ice cream dish. (not photographed.)

We didn’t like it the first time we went. But loved it the second time. The menu choices makes all the difference. The second time we chose from curated recommendations and has a better waiter. It made all the difference. We got the Naan & dip, pork noodles, goat liver pate shisito peppers, the pork shank. The glass noodles were delicious. The goat liver pate came with some delicious sesame crackers & some “crumpets” which were a bit greasy, but good. The pork shank was great.
