Not going to lie the food was so good but the prices are ridiculous for what they give you..I got Mac and cheese, green beans, yams and potato salad and the portions small!! And I paid almost 12 dollars for it!! If you going to charge that much at least load the plate up with the food and add a drink and cake 12 dollars ridiculous

Food didn’t taste as good as it did years ago, my baked chicken was swimming in zesty Italian dressing “very strange” I ordered a dark meat portion was so small a child would not have gotten full off of. baked chicken normally has BBQ sauce or nothing .

EVERY THING was great ESPECIALLY the service. EVERYONE was ULTRA polite and helpful. I can’t believe how much REAL cheese is in the macaroni and cheese. My candied yams were different from what I’m used to yet they were delicious. My wings were fried to perfection and the green beans were cooked nicely too. Thank you EVERYONE at G&K for good food and IMPECCABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. This was my first time visiting your wonderfully run establishment and it won’t be my last!

I decided to visit this place because I was craving cake and saw they had it on their menu. The strawberry cake I had was truly exceptional, surpassing any other strawberry cakes I’ve ever tasted. The sweetness was perfectly balanced, and both the frosting and the cake itself had a delightful light and fluffy texture. Get their cake!!

Absolutely a 10 out of 10. The building is small and intimate, the staff is super friendly and helpful when you need suggestions and the Food!!! If you know ANYTHING about southern soul food, then this would be the example. You can literally taste the love, patience, skill and history with every single bite. Do yourself a favor an run here! I’ve been here twice in both times it was very delicious. First time I got the lasagna and it was very flavorful. I love how I can get a side of mashed potatoes and gravy with my lasagna. Today I tried their fried chicken, which they serve every day and it was excellent. I got the white meat and there was a lot of meet on the breast and it was fried perfectly.

We absolutely love GK Cafe! The food is amazing, every single time. It’s perfectly seasoned and the lemonade is perfect! The vibe at their restaurant is cool. Love that the art is feom local artists. We recently requested them to cater a small wedding for us, at the last minute. Not only were Ms. Kay and her sister Ms. Gayle gracious enough to squeeze our request in but they were so sweet and kind. They also have a gorgeous space across town with several banquet/ ballrooms and a chefs kitchen. Highly recommend!
