RTL Lindquist Marsanne
Marsanne is a great grape that makes wines that are remarkably long lived. When young it exhibits aromas of wet stone, under ripe peaches with a hint of honey. As it ages, it takes on more of a honey nut character, with mineral and lanolin undertones. I recommend either drinking it in the first couple years after release for its freshness, or waiting at least 10 years to enjoy all the complexity that this wine can offer.

RTL Wildaire Chardonnay
2015 Vintage “This 100% Pinot Noir cuvee reflects the cool microclimate of the Sonoma Coast AVA, selected from vineyards in the western portion of Carneros and the Petaluma Gap. The cool windy climate and low yield of these vineyards allow Pinot Noir grapes to mature slowly while retaining their natural acidity, with bright flavors of red cherries, raspberries and spice. We showcase the elegant side of Pinot Noir by aging in large neutral oak casks and older French oak barrels to keep new oak flavors to a minimum. Lively acidity on the finish makes it an ideal accompaniment to grilled fish and fowl or barbecued meats.” (Wine enthusiast)

RTL Capitan-Gagnerot Ladoix
” Capitain used this wine to show us that if you are looking for color in Pinot Noir, you are asking the wrong question. He showed us here that a wine can be delicate and powerful at the same time, And he showed us that pretty little red fruits can age as well (and usually better) than concentrated extracted fruit bombs. Racy and well-structured, ‘La Micaude’ is at the same time discreet with delicate black berry fruits. It’s one of those wine that will surprise you as it ages, growing in elegance and nuance with each passing year.” (burgendy wine collective)

RTL Costal Chablis “Vaillons” 1er Cru
Yes, this is classic Chablis, where Chardonnay speaks with a clipped and flinty accent, but there’s also a beautiful, sunny aspect to this wine that I was not expecting. As I got deeper into the glass, I noticed a little floral note here, a touch of ripeness there, and before I knew it, my carefully crafted analogy crumbled. Then, pretty soon afterward, the bottle was empty

$74.99
RTL Pedesclaux Pauillac ’16
“This really shows the heart of 2016 in the northern Médoc – it has the triumvirate of good acidity, good tannins and good fruit. It’s a little austere and is going to take its time to truly get going. A second bottle proved much better for depth, as we queried rusticity on the nose of the first bottle. The second instead showed a hawthorn, hedgerow character and gorgeously rich black fruits, concentrated and focussed, and given complexity by tobacco and spice. It’s the first time that four grape varieties have been used in the grand vin – Cabernet, Merlot, Petit Verdot, plus 3% Cabernet Franc. Eric Boissenot consults.” (Decanter)
$89.99
RTL Perraud St. Veran
“From 50 year old Chardonnay vines with a south east orientation at the foot of the rock of Vergisson. Farmed without chemicals and harvested by hand. The wine is fermented with Indigenous yeasts and then aged in stainless steel. Although considered ‘minimal intervention’ this is a lovely, clean expression of Chardonnay. The minerality is evident straight up, as is the juicy white stonefruit, a touch of baked apple and wonderful acidity, leading to a lovely saline, tart finish. Pair with pan-seared Snapper in a brown butter and caper sauce or soft cow’s milk cheeses ” (Vacherin).
$21.99
RTL Piaugier CDR Sablet Rouge
2019 vintage of Domaine de Piaugier “La Grange” Côtes du Rhone ” The dominant grape variety is the traditional Grenache, with complementary plantings of Syrah, Cinsault, Mourvedre, Counoise and Carignan for the reds and Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Roussane, and Viognier for the whites. “La Grange” is mostly Grenache with small amounts of Syrah, Cinsault and Carignan blended in, all sourced from vines that are roughly 45 years of age. RTL Egon Müller “Scharzhof” Riesling
“The 2018 Scharzhof QbA was bottled a bit earlier than anything else in the cellars this year, as the mise for this wine was on the last day of February of 2019. The wine carries twenty-eight grams of residual sugar this year and is 10.5 percent alcohol, so it is a bit fuller-bodied in personality than the 2017. However, the wine is lovely in 2018, offering up a classic nose of green apple, petrol, pear, wild yeasts and a fine base of slate minerality. On the palate the wine is deep, full and nicely mineral in personality, with good, broad shoulders, fine cut and grip and a long, focused and nascently complex finish. Good juice. ” (John Gilman WIne Writer)
$74.99
RTL Haart Riesling
“Haart Riesling Medium-Dry 2018 is a German white wine that is known for its balance between light sweetness and acidity. It has a light to medium body, with a pale yellow or green color. On the nose, it may exhibit aromas of citrus, green apple, peach, and floral notes, along with subtle mineral or petrol undertones. On the palate, the wine is fruity with a pleasant sweetness, but also features a refreshing acidity that balances the sweetness, leading to a crisp and clean finish. The wine’s sweetness is not overpowering, allowing for a wide range of food pairings, from spicy Asian dishes to seafood and poultry. Overall, Haart Riesling Mediumi-Dry 2018 is a versatile and approachable wine that is perfect for any occasion.”

RTL Immich-Batterieberg Ellergrub Ries 14
“2014er Immich-Batterieberg Enkircher Ellergrub Riesling

This delivers a stunning nose of cassis, ginger and grapefruit as well as some floral nuances and yellow fruits. The wine is loaded with flavors and mineral grip on the palate and the finish is airy, complex but also still quite primary at this stage, with the underlying grapefruit and ginger still dominated by herbs and smoke. But the overall balance, finesse and elegance is staggering. This needs bottle age but should then prove a cracker of a dry Riesling. What a great wine in the making! 2019-2029”

Was disappointed they no longer have steak frites but was offered some hanger steak which was too complicated and did not taste as well. So the best item on menu was the scallops.

Was happy with every part of the meal. The brussel app was an excellent start, my cocktail was quite good and the grilled fish was delicious. The brownie dessert was quite good as well. Overall, an excellent meal in an attractive environment. Next time we want to sit at the patio under the lights.

Expensive for small portions however the food was great. The cost of a few items was high likely because it was Valentine’s day. There were few good vegan and vegetarian options but not a lot. Drinks and desserts were amazing and would definitely recommend it.

This place is delicious! The menu is clearly marked with gluten free and nut free options. They have a separate fryer for those who can’t be exposed to cross contamination. The menu had a lot of options and definitely more of a menu for foodies. We had the steak frites and scallops and shared plates. They also brought out some gluten free crackers they make in house and Wow- we loved them. We finished off the night with the budino and hands down it was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had! Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a great meal!
