About Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria
Considered the oldest family name in Chicago pizza, Lou Malnati’s is as rich in history as its pizza is in flavor.
Lou Malnati got his start in the 1940’s working in Chicago’s first deep dish pizzeria. He took his pizza expertise to Lincolnwood, a northern suburb of Chicago, where he and his wife Jean opened the first Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria on March 17, 1971. Lou was known for his fun-loving character as well as making Chicago’s best pizza. Loyal patrons lined the streets on opening day for a taste of his delicious deep dish creations. Lou always thought it was funny that an Italian should open a pizzeria in a Jewish neighborhood on an Irish holiday.

Hubby and I love this restaurant when we travel to Chicago. Well we chose a lil chain one we came across and ordered a deep dish and 3 frozen pizzas and a salad. We were very disappointed with the salad. The lettuce looked horrible with fresh veggies on top. I guess the saying is true. It’s not old til it’s sold. Ugh! Thanks Lou Malnati’s.

Pizza was delicious! We ordered the Lou’s and the deep dish sausage! For both pizza we had the butter crust and less tomato sauce! It was not too soggy and not too salty! Be sure to have it uncut too!

The Chicago style pizza did not disappoint me at all!! We did a take out of 1 large The Lou’s customized it and added more veggies. It was extremely delicious!! We also got their veggie small pizza and added a few more veggies, it was yum!! I would definitely recommend this one!! Would love to go back and try other items on their menu!

When my daughter and I went here it was for lunch and very empty. We had to wait like 20 minutes to get our order taken. We ordered a lunch special that included a salad. We asked what salads came with the lunch and the waitress told us. She failed to tell us that one of them had an upcharge and we were just told sorry, I’ll talk to her. I ordered a sausage pizza. It had no flavor and was so overpriced.

Ordered a Lou’s pizza and Lg salad. When we got it to the house it appeared to be undercooked. The left over slices actually made the cardboard soggy. I think they need to call Libertyville and get their temp and cook time. I think the pizza needs to be cooked 10-15 minutes longer. Took the slices off the cardboard and put them on plates in the fridge.

Today I stopped by on the way home and picked up a salad as we do often, the salad was not fresh so I called in and talked with Paige and she handled it just as a manger should handle an issue, she had a salad delivered to us fresh with all the sides in less than a hour, the last time this happened I talked with another manager and it didn’t sound like he believed me, but so happy I got Paige on this one, for that we will be coming back, thank you Paige.

Large, busy primarily pizza chain in the Chicago area. Ordered thin crust pizza from them from multiple locations many times but they are also well known for their deep dish pizza. Consistent good quality though not the favorite pizza I have ever had. Highest end prices for pizza, often cost me around $30 for a large pick-up pizza. Many, many pizza joints to choose from but Malnati’s is pretty good. Pizza prices range from $6 apiece with always available coupons at Domino’s (not as good but ok for the money) to Malnati’s prices. Both pick-up and delivery times can be fairly long at popular times but Malnati’s gives you a pick-up time that is usually pretty accurate. Worth a try.

The store and quality are fine bit pricey. I am only giving a 3 so I can get some attention from the app. Customer service is a joke and not enough room to make comments. Emails never returned. App continues to expect me to keep logging in. I tip on my own. Presumptious to assume 20% and have to delete. Inability to use points. I should not have to search for the rewards number to use. I sm pretty direct I am getting not the points I deserve. Reward# should automatically populate on log in and I should be able to save log in information
