One year local in View Park, native to Alabama. I’ve been craving soul food, oxtails in particular, but I haven’t known where to start exploring. Today I found out Gloria’s is less than a mile from me so I stopped by.

Worth every penny! Everything was seasoned and tasteful and everyone I encountered was super polite! Definitely would recommend.

The food is good …not Dulans good, but good I have been eating at this spot since they opened their doors on and off through the years… however the service and the inconsistency of the service is my issue !…i am tired of these businesses wanting to keep using The PLANDEMIC as an excuse for poor business practices and not “hiring well”…there is always almost someone new and seemingly with no previous food service experience, behind the counter at this spot that doesn’t know what the heck they are doing or how to properly portion & serve “Soul Food”…yall know what I mean we tend to like our Black Eye Peas over rice in the larger part of the container so forth and so on… These “new faces” that work here just don’t seem to have been properly trained or they don’t simply just get it !The owner has to “do better” in this area or “im cool”

Not overly seasoned fresh and not under the heat lamps all day.

Tried the fried chicken, greens, and tuna casserole. All were really good, I look forward to trying the entire menu eventually.

Some of the best soul food in LA. So many different foods/have a lot of variations & everything is delicious. Highly recommend for a local soul food spot.

Good Soul Food in L.A. has become a thing of the past. However, this spot is still serving flavorful food. I ordered the catfish and black-eyed peas which were tasty. The fish was cooked crispy and lightly battered. Not salty but just right. The black-eyed peas tasted as such! They weren’t heavy and I could taste the pea. Cornbread was also cooked right. I will definitely go back. All our food was fresh and the service was amazing.

I’m from GA… very harsh critic of soul food. Decided to try Gloria’s today. Best soul food I’ve had in LA. Yams were amazing, Mac and Cheese on point, BBQ chicken bomb. I’m so glad to finally have found a go to soul food place out here without a 30 minute wait that’s not loaded with Accent (msg) giving me a headache like Dulans.
