The place was kinda dead, but it was late Monday. The food isn’t “great” but not bad by any means. The service is very friendly and quick. I always have a small gripe against any place that makes you buy fries separate, so there’s that. Then again, they’ve been steady on price. Meanwhile, Straight Off the Road seems to increase like the government. That being said, I do not mind eating here. Food has never been bad, I’ve never gotten sick from eating here, and the service is always good. Best BBQ, no. Decent BBQ at a decent price? Yes.

Came to Houston to visit some family and found this restaurant close by. We stopped by to grab some side dishes as it was getting late. Tried their corn bake, fried mushrooms, and potato salad. Everything was hot and good. Would definitely recommend the corn bake and it was very comforting. It sticks to your ribs and I couldn’t stop eating it

New to Texas and new to the area. Searched online for a close steak place. This place is the closest so we gave it a try. I was a little put off when I walked in and found it to be cafeteria style. Thankfully, there was an “order here” sign that you see when looking up at the menu on the wall. We both ordered the 8oz. ribeye, and asked for it to be rare. We also got sides and drinks.

Slow service. Gravy is way too salty. Chicken fried steak was terrible. Brisket was dry. Even the ketchup was terrible. Only good thing was the baked potato. Save your money or go to Straight Off the Road.
