This is a very cute little restaurant serving authentic Ethiopian cuisine in very cozy surroundings. It tasted like a home cooked meal and the flavors were quite diverse. They give you the option to combine your orders so you can eat family style. The injera was fresh and fluffy. We got the lamb and chicken which were both very flavorful. The star of the show for me were the mushrooms and collard greens.

This place is nothing fancy & it can be warm inside but the food is AMAZING. I eat here every time I’m in town. They have a combo option if you want to try 4 different dishes.

Uhh, yes, absolutely come here. I got the meat and veggie combo, and it was so good. But the real prize was the special coffee at the end. They roast the beans, have you smell them, then present it to you with burning incense. It’s a medium light roast, but SO much flavor. The service was good, but it was a slow night. I’m a big fan of Ethiopian food, and this place delivered.

Love this place!! My 2nd visit. I Always think of it when I’m in town visiting. & OMG in addition too ok the good food this time I ordered sweet tea not realizing that it would be iced Ethiopian Chai Sweet tea!! I drank it so fast she brought me more right away! I wish I could fly back to Nashville and have it for dinner tonight! YUMMY! Don’t sleep on this one and the prices are reasonable (I’m comparing to Chicago prices for Ethiopia ).

This is the kind of place I love. Genuine, humble, and delicious. I found the no frills approach to service and food to be a mutual compliment that abandons pretense. As if the place is there to say “We take each other as we are, my door is open to you.”

First time here and it was amazing great service, atmosphere, and the food was delicious. I drove 2 1/2 hours away hoping I wouldn’t be disappointed and I most definitely wasn’t disappointed. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have wanted to try Gojo at the high recommendation from many friends over the years. I was so pleased with the entire experience! The Injera was the best I have ever tasted. Absolutely delicious and utterly perfect! Our server was kind, helpful, and gracious. Our meals were cooked to perfection. The special coffee was a glorious experience to end the meal. Beans were roasted fresh (SO cool!), and the coffee was beautifully balanced in a way I didn’t know was possible immediately after roasting. I look forward to coming back! Yum!!

Definitely an experience to try Ethopian food when you are in Nashville! A Combination of of different meats served on top of injera bread which is like sponge bread using your hands to pick up the food. The combination of spices and vegetables makes a delicious variety to make the dinner more enjoyable! We tried beef and lamb tips. Also have the Ethiopian coffee at the end. There is a small ceremony to enjoy the coffee which is pretty cool!
