The place was cozy, and our waiter was VERY personalable. Ordered the beef sambusa (which were amazing but only got two in the order). The actual dinner was authentic Ethiopian sides served on top of a spongy, sour bread, and you eat with your hands. The flavors were good!

Admittedly I was nervous as the reviews were mixed. However, I could not have asked for a better first time! Hawi, our server, was so personable and kind and very funny. We loved him! And the food was AMAZING. I was concerned it would be too spicy for my husband, but it was perfect! We’ll be back!

This was my first time ever eating Ethiopian food and I loved it. We went for the lunch buffet which was not very vegetarian friendly but they immediately offered to let us order off the regular menu. We went with the Vegetarian Combination that came with 9 different items served on Injera (the Ethiopian flat bread) and a large platter. The food was delicious. We didn’t love each item but between the two of us we finished the entire platter and left full.

Food was tasty (Ethiopians use too much oil/butter in their food) The owner, young man, was friendly. Very costly (almost 25$ for one meal including tax and 15% to 30 % tip he demands. Quantity of food very small.

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful for new diners. He instantly recognize one of our dinner guest and helped the rest of it work through the menu. The ordering process is based around a commune eating experience. Everyone orders but all the mains come on 1 or more plates with an assortment of sides. Injera bread which is the rolls and the thing the food is servered on is used as utensils. You grab a little bit of it and grab the sides & mains with it. All the food is delicious and unique. A wonderful experience. The wait is a little bit long but it’s only a couple workers working and it’s a wonderful dining experience.

Decent food and price. I had the lunch buffet that contains rice, red lentils, split chick peas, chicken curry, cabbage carrot stew, etc, as can be seen in the pictures (can not remember the exact names of the items).

We have been coming here for 7 years and are regulars! We love the food and it never disappoints. It is decadent, delicious, and savory every time! But what we love more than anything is the ambience and the friendly conversation with the owners, since it is a family owned and run small restaurant. They remember us and our favorite food requests every time we come!
