Prefer triangle Rangoons but was shocked when I was able to eat fried rice! Usually all rice is dry and hardly edible but their fried rice was delicious!! Very fresh and moist, not at all like the pellets one finds in Chinese takeout

Food was edible but not satisfying. My entire stir fry was gray. Nothing had color and everything taste the same – bland, with hardly any flavor. I won’t be eating here ever again.

I went on Thursday at 12pm and the woman was just plain nasty, she kept saying things that seemed uncomfortable in Chinese. I felt that she might be saying some nasty things about me because how upset she sounded, the way the other worker looked at me to, and she would come up to me every 5 to 10 seconds asking me if I knew what I wanted, she would talk very fast then talk in her own language to the person working and the way he looked at me like they were annoyed how long I was taking to order. I came from Bradenton to try them out, so I wanted to take time and ask questions about the different foods. I asked the other gentlemen that worked there what I said wrong and he wouldn’t reply. After that I told them that they are RUDE and left……!!!!

This place is horrible. The food tastes bad, if it even has a taste to it, the rice is always over cooked, and they never get the order right. I ordered a hot and sour soup, and it was just vegetable soup with no sauce in it. Nothing close to an actual jot and sour soup. 0/10, no stars. Don’t put yourself through the torture of eating “food” from this place.

Gold China has turned around from being a local take-out place into a rare Chinese restaurant in America serving authentic food. I don’t know where they found their new chef. I hope nobody steals him. It is always crowded even in the off-season at off hours. Serious Chinese food lovers will turn to the special menu at the back .

May not be up to most snooty sarasotians impossible standands, but my wife and i have been getting our Chinese food from there for years, and we always enjoy it. Good food, big portions, and inexpensive.
