We found this place on our way through town, and are so glad we stopped here instead of some chain place.ove the fact that they’ve been here for decades, it let’s you know that the locals must like it. I had the cheeseburger and my wife had the grilled chicken salad. Both were very good. Fast (FAST) friendly service to boot. We will definitely be back!

The food was great and the service was great. The interior needs a serious remodel. The booths are from a dinosaur age… And look like it too!! The bathroom, don’t get me started on the bathroom. The redeeming qualities of this place are the food and the service.

One of my favorite local Hattiesburg restaurants for the past 25 years is the Gold Post! Their po-boy bread is authentic, shipped daily straight from New Orleans, and the house salad dressing is local famous. I recommend any of the Po-boy sandwiches, all the salads, and both the red beans and rice and the seafood gumbo. It’s a perfect spot for a quick, casual lunch at a very reasonable price!

pathetic place to eat i ordered a chicken strip basket with salad and fries didn’t get my fried chicken strips was the size of my pinky finger burnt and no seasoning at all the burger i oredered was the size of a jr burger worker had a nasty attitude after i went back to tell her about my order wasn’t right so i asked for my money back got it back i will never go back and also worker that was cooking was dressed like he was working out in a field came right from outside and went straight to the kitchen area never again
