My sister and I stopped at this Iowa supper club last night and we both agreed our meals were outstanding. After enjoying a very nice soup & salad bar, we were served our grilled haddock and New York steak dinners. I’m in the food service business and I will attest these were cooked to perfection.

It is very delicious! The only negative thing I have to say is that the last time I was in there is that they were so busy that they completely forgot all about me sitting with my family and they helped everyone else around me. I got there a little a few minutes past my family ordering their food and I told them I needed a menu and ordered a drink. Finally, after my family was almost done eating the original waitress came back to the table and wanted to know what I wanted to order to which I had told had never gotten a menu even after asking for one several times. I just ordered a drink because by that time my family was done. I sat there for approximately 2 hours completely ignored after repeatedly asking for service. Just to say I was completely annoyed that several tables around us had gotten there after me and had gotten drinks, food, and completely finished eating all in the time I waited.

Great food! Although we kind of got forgot about the last time we were there. Understandable though, they were super busy but always welcome and greeted with smiles! Had their new calamari, I’m a bit spoiled, I’ve had it in Japan and on the Navy Pier in Monterey Cali! So , yes it was good, but somewhat small pieces! Our family will always continue to visit some of the very few, kindest owners in Dunlap! Slipperheads for life!!!

Food was not done on the chicken fried steak. Prime rib was tough and baked potato was cold and not done oreo on salad bar was good. Lettuce was wilted.
