Tom and Chee sold out their name. You would think that a place that is famous for their grilled cheese would actually take some sort of pride in making them. Yesterday was NOT the case. I went to dinner at the Anderson location with my husband and left very disappointed. The food was blah. I ordered cup of tomato soup with a build your own grilled cheese with cheddar cheese, tomato, and bacon bits. The soup was fine, not brag worthy but the grilled cheese was horrendous. There were two small slices of cheddar cheese on the grilled cheese. It was not cheesy at all. You would think that they were rationing cheese. Not to mention, it took a long time to make my stellar dinner and the diner was not busy. Not good Tom and Chee!!

I love Tom and Chee especially this location. My kids and I have come often. The food and service is really good. I was disappointed with my last visit. I decided to get the cinnamon dessert doughnut and it was really hard and black. I took and bite and it was obviously burned and even tasted like it. I had gone the day before and it was so amazing that I went back a second time, but the second time was a major disappointment. I called the restaurant and let them know and I was told they would remake it correctly. I’m hoping they will make this right. The last time I left a review of 5 stars, because my visits in the past have been great. Hopefully the follow-up to this review will be a great one.

It was my first time eating at a Tom & Chee. It’s a good alternative place to eat other than fast food. I tried the West of Philly cheesesteak. I wasn’t blown away by it but it was good. I’m going to try something else next time I go!

Why did you combine with gold star? Horrible decision. I liked your location in the Anderson towne center but now I will not eat at your restaurant anymore. The quality of the food slipped right before this transformation anyways. Disappointing.
