We come here for breakfast most Sundays after church. Fast service! Gabby is the best she’s sweet and takes great care of us.. all the servers are great they all check up on us frequently! You won’t be disappointed you can choose between Mexican food or American. They have the best French toast by far!! I’m not a menudo person but my Husband loves it. Biscuits and gravy is good as well.

Never coming back. Honestly, if I could give them no stars, I would. I and my autistic niece went to this restaurant for her birthday, and I must say the service was absolutely terrible. We got there, and our server was quite rude towards us before he heard that I was going to leave a bad review. Then, he was suddenly nice when he heard what I had said.

I came in here three days ago, 8/10/2023. I’m giving it two star on food because the beans had a terrible aftertaste kind of like they used fish Grease to do the refried beans. Did not taste very good. Also giving it a three-star for service because the server didn’t write down what I asked for and instead of two cheese enchiladas, I got two chicken enchiladas, the first plate had plenty of beans. The second attempt at the correct order for cheese enchiladas hardly had any beans and of course the fishy grease taste in the refried beans was apparent in the second dish. Not only that they’re going to charge you $4 for a cup of iced tea, if they’re going to charge that much they should ask you what size do you want. This will be the last time I come in here

Went here on a Saturday night. We were the only customers. The server was a very sweet lady. We ordered drinks and they were PERFECT! OUR FOOD WAS GOOD!! And we were surprised on how low our bill was. DEFINETLY COMING BACK. THANK YOU FOR THE AWESOME EXPERIENCE!

Found this place by chance while walking around waiting for a friends appointment to be over. The service was fast and friendly, the food was good and a generous serving size, and the “skinny” margaritas were great. Would definitely come back here again.

Been going here since 1987. The wait staff has always been wonderful! That is the 4 star. The food was okay at best this last visit. I could tell the waitress saw the look on our face when our food came out. She charged us happy hour price although it was not happy hour. Thank you. I get that prices are high due to inflation. But the food was just not up to the standard of what I have come to expect from this place. I Was a little turned off by the new owners. The waitress had plates in her hands and the two owners had her blocked in behind the counter where she couldn’t get past them. So they are chatting her up over our plates of food getting cold. For an extended period of time. lol. It seemed almost comical. Seemed like they were more interested in chatting up the waitresses than the customers getting great service. I observed this behavour continuing during our meal. I wouldn’t want the owners of any establishment I work at preventing me from providing excellent service. Made me feel uncomfortable for the waitresses as I could tell they were trying to do their job and not be rude to their boss. Anyway. We discovered Camino Real on Stine and are never going back to this place. The waitresses should go over to Camino. The staff looks very happy and I bet they would get great tips working there.

Ahhh when you’re looking for Mexican food in Bakersfield there are a lot of choices but La Cabaña is one of the better places, especially if you love menudo. I’ve had better rice but this wasn’t bad. Our server was friendly and kept checking on us and kept our coffee cups filled. I highly recommend this place for breakfast.
