I ordered catfish with fried okra. I received 3 burnt to a crisp catfish fillets. They had no real fish on them. Just chewy fried pieces. The okra was over fried too. The catfish fillets were in a box alone. I just threw everything away.

Well, 1st of all when I placed my order the young male Mexican worker acted like he didn’t know how to use a coupon I had. Remind you this is my 1st time trying Golden Chick as am a visitor here in TX and was told abt this place so I had a coupon deal that I brought in. So, when I asked him about Apple Pay he stated yes then gave me my coupon back in my hand. I asked him what is this for I can use again. This male employee stated to me that he thought I wanted to use the kiosk. I verbally told him no I just asked do you guys take Apple Pay. Then I was like why can’t u take my payment up here in front he says we can but only card. I mean that wasn’t a problem for me paying up front but why would he think I wanted to use a kiosk which I didn’t so technically he THOUGHT wrong/assumed. Then he didn’t ring up my order correctly bc after the food was prepared I asked one of the male Mecca in workers did he include my 4 free rolls. He looks up at the screen then spoken Spanish to the employee who didn’t ring my order up correctly then he stated yes 4 rolls. I said in my mind wow he didn’t even include that. On my receipt the name for cashier says Fredi so am assuming that’s him. Then when I got to the hotel I was suppose to have mashed potatoes instead I had something creamy looking like pepper in it. I kindly tasted it and determined that wasn’t no damn mashed potatoes. Would I had known to check my food before I left this location I would had but the way the Mexican worker was looking up at the screen n preparing my food so damn focused I assumed things were right. Something just told me to ask abt my 4 free rolls since this Mexican employee named Fredi acted like he couldn’t read nor do a coupon. I had two sides w my family meal which I ordered a 20pc Tender Chicken meal for me and my 2 sons. I had two sides mashed potatoes Mac n cheese also okra. The only thing the mashed potatoes wasn’t MASHED POTATOES idk what tht white creamy item was but I had to toss it. Overall, the tenders were good Okra was good n Mac n Cheese thts why I’ve given a 3⭐️ it would had been 5 ⭐️’s if Fredi rung my order up right ‍♀️
