We were here on July 12th. This Golden Chick is usually pretty good. The chicken tenders often vary in size. Sometimes all are normal sized while other times they are a mix of normal size and deformed nugget pieces. The batter consistency varies too. Sometimes nice and a little crispy while other times the entire tender is mostly crunchy batter with some chicken inside. Prior to COVID-19 we would dine in and depending on the crew the dining area was freezing cold, other times it was just cold. Their green beans are ok. They put way too many bacon bits in the mix and it overpowers and ruins the flavor. I love bacon, but the stuff they add is not great. Their french fries are usually pretty good. The instant mashed potatoes are ok at best. They should make real mashed potatoes. The cole slaw is ok. It could use a flavor boost. The soft serve ice cream machine seems like it is never working. Their ice tea is too weak. The service like any other place is hit or miss, but usually pretty good. We’ve been coming here for years and will continue to do so.

Rude, slow, and their basic chicken is the size of a chicken wing. What is this? Never will go here again. I have given them many chances and each time a terrible experience. Messed up my order before. They can’t get it right….

We decided to give them another shot after about 2 years ago when we got in line waiting in the drive-thru only to learn that the didn’t have any chicken, but only sides and bread. Today’s experience: First, the speaker where they take your order is blown and you cannot understand anything that the guy taking the order says. This may account to why the guy seems annoyed after you ask him to repeat what he is saying. Service was slow and not a smile or a thank you. There is a pipe with dripping grease as soon as you get to the pick up window at eye level, very gross. Place needs upkeep for sure. Food, however, was very good, a bit on the pricey side.

I normally do not write reviews, but the total disregard for me as a customer was really low. Waiting in the drive through line I had time to make the coin change and paid $20.62 on an $8.62 bill. I got back $7. and it seemed to inconvenient the teller asking for my other $5. I also had to ask to get my drink and was asked, “Didn’t you already get your drink?” Wow, some serious short term memory issues occurring here. Ok, I can move on from that. I decide to take advantage of the nice day and eat my lunch outside. There were no utensils for the macaroni and cheese, which they normally pack. It wouldn’t have done much good , because just maybe there was enough pasta for 1& 1 /2 spoonfuls. It was mostly just a soupy liquid. Hopefully the other customers got a better service today, but I just wanted to relate my negative experience.

To start off the food is amazing. Everything is hot and super tasty. The service is also amazing. The cashier wanted to make sure our order was perfect with all of the sauces to the amount of crispy we wanted our okra. I would say overall it deserves the 5 five stars and more!

We had to wait 20 minutes for the chicken to be ready. The gentleman at the take out window let us know, so we ran an errand and then came back. Chicken was hot and crispy. Minus 1 star because, prior to the errand, I would have liked him to have suggested that we pull to the front or park so he could either bring it out or told us to go through the drive through in 20 min. A truck in front of us was also waiting at the take out window and it could have caused a back up of vehicles.

I absolutely LOVE this Golden Chick! The guys are amazing, I always get fresh, hot food! My chicken is fried perfectly, my taters aren’t soggy or too thick, the gravy is nice & thick, Zing sauce is always on point! I’ve come in & they’re slammed, also been by when it’s dead in between the rushes & I’ve always gotten the best service regardless of how busy they are. Having worked for another GC location previously, this store surpasses my expectations for cleanliness & customer service!

I don’t know what they are doing at this location but someone need to investigate there service. They are extremely slow and rude. I was placed on hold immediately when I pulled up to the drive thru speaker. No other cars where in the drive thru line. I spent $16.21 on 9 wings a order of corn nuggets and a large okra I then waited over 20mins to receive my food. They didn’t offer a complimentary drink no apology for the wait even an additional wait because my food order was placed at 1:16 but didn’t receive my food until 1:33. Whole process was 30mins thats ridiculous. Where is the customer service?

This place has been going downhill fast. We visit regular and all of our last six orders have been wrong. They constantly miss giving you the included gravy. The ice cream machine has been ‘broken’ for months. Prices are going up. Tonight we ordered the mixer. Got home and didn’t have our whole order. Went back to get the rest of it. Got home and were still missing items. Shame on us for not checking the 2nd time but seriously?
