Entirely disappointing. Drive thru pickup at 12:30pm. Almost everything was cold, especially the chicken and okra, and they didn’t include gravy. We ordered a family pack with green beans and Mac and cheese, and they didn’t include any silverware or napkins. Not one. And it was obvious we are traveling from the pile of suitcases in the passenger seat. Just avoid. It was a waste of money as we threw away most of the food as inedible.

Food tastes fine but lately the tender sizes have shrunk significantly. I’m not looking for Chili’s chicken crisper level portions here but some of the pathetic slivers and scraps they try to pass off as tenders would be laughable if the price wasn’t also through to roof. If this was just a one time occurrence I’d write it off as an anomaly but it has happened to both me and my coworkers multiple times. It’s also not uncommon for the count to be off, though it’s always short, never an extra tender which is cause for suspicion. I will say that when I’ve been shorted while dining in, they always make it right. Golden Chick is about a block away from work so it was a favorite but word is getting around that people are getting ripped off. I’ve attached a photo of my most recent encounter (note the ketchup packet included for scale).

I’ve been going to golden chick on 5th street for a long time and they have the friendliest staff and the food is great and fresh. I recommend this place to all my family and friends. The inside is always clean and organized. Rex, Angela and frank always greets you with a smile and goes beyond to make sure your order is right. Best chicken in town.
