I don’t know why I keep going back. The food is good, but the service is terrible. My order is never correct and I should always check the bag before leaving. The person taking the order either cannot hear me, or the older woman is hollering at everyone in the kitchen and they are distracted. I feel bad, because they are very sweet when taking the order and processing payment.

I can not speak of the atmosphere in this establishment as I generally go through drive-thru. However, this location is owned by the same person as the one in Hondo, and Hondo’s atmosphere has always been 5*, so I can feel comfortable in saying that this location would be the same.

The food’s great, but we ordered the 16 piece family meal with gravy and mashed potatoes (which was all in the bag), and a large side of fries (which was not in the bag). Which is fine it happens. When I got home we noticed that the fries were not in the bag and my wife called them. The employee on the phone was more than helpful and was even about to comp the fries from what it seems. Then my wife said she could hear the manager in the background yelling to give her the phone because she remembered putting the fries in the bag. I’m pretty sure we would know… We even went back to my car to check that they didn’t fall out and nope, nothing there. She pretty much argued with my wife that we were lying (over family fries which are $5.00) because she remembers she put them in there, and apparently they somehow disappeared between then and my car. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL manager and even after we told her its 20 minutes away and we don’t want to come back she said the only thing we could do about it is drive out there and get the fries. The food we did get was great, and the place does seem cleaner than the one in San Antonio at 1604 and Potranco which is why I drove 20 minutes to Castroville instead. But after the interaction with this manager, we will not be going back to this location ever. Happened on 6/14/2023 at about 1PM.

I came to this place, requesting 8pc only chicken dark, I told them I wanted fresh chicken that I would wait for it. The cashier called manager and she stated it would take 16 minutes, I said okay. I put the timer, 20 minutes went by and hat to stand to in front of the counter, when the employee saw me started serving the chicken. Then handed the bag. I asked if it was all dark meat, she said yes. I stopped in the table to double verify, when I was at the table employee was talking about it with another employee. I will never come back to this place, poor service, lack of professionalism and respect.

Come often but employees never want to have ice cream machine working. Or never want to add mix. And when you ask about it they just stare at you like you are inconveniencing them with asking about it. Getting to the point of the “McDonald’s ice cream machine”

Poor customer service. Waited over 25 minutes for a chicken sandwich French fries and 8 tenders. After 15 minutes asked what the hold was and they said they were waiting on fries. After 20 minutes asked again and was told waiting on tenders. All the while other orders were going out with tenders and fries. When the order was ready I had to take it to go and they literally threw the food in the bag. It was a horrible experience and no responsibility for the actions or the time it took. I will not be returning.
