I come here solely for the food. It is great! Always fresh! The workers however, do not give great customer service. The entire drive thru can only handle one car at a time so you will wait at the intercom for a while. Order is wrong 50% of the time. Free ice cream is not available 90% of the time. I eat here often and think it is the best fast food fried chicken around, but you will have to deal with inconvenience.

Waited in drive through line 15 minutes, couldn’t get out due to traffic. Once I finally got to the window you could only pay cash. Once I finally place my order, I was told to pull around. Two or three cars got their orders before me and each time I asked I was told it’s coming. One worker said it was the system that was down, which is why I had to pay cash. Then I was told the fish is cooked on demand and not prepared ahead of time. When I told them I had been there for 30 minutes they said they would give me a free piece of fish. Worst Golden Chick. Actually worst fast food restaurant I’ve ever experienced.

1st time ordering/ eating here. Everything was pretty good. Would like to come back for the grilled chicken. Need to work on the drive through experience. Having to park and there not being designated spots makes it chaotic. Staff going car to car auctioning off food is unprofessional. Looks like another family came back with the wrong meal staff was friendly but exhausted. Easily fixed. Take a name, vehicle description, number the spots.

Beautiful place, however language barrier, card machine didn’t work, took forever to pay and receive our food. We were finished eating by the time the rest of our order was ready. And the okra was a little bit on the tough overripe stage. It was like chewing sticks. They added extra wings for the inconvenience, but still. I still rate them 5 stars tho, just a little hiccup today, but hopefully, everything gets resolved, and no one else has this experience

Sometimes it’s nice to come to the restaurant when I don’t see any cars in line. However, I’m not really understanding the purpose of paying at the window and not waiting at the window, but pulling around and waiting in the parking lot for another 5 to 10 minutes….. there are at least five cars piling up in your parking lot at the time of this review from the drive-through.

We’ve been here several times, usually we go thru the drive-thru, but today, February 19th we dined in. The food is always really good.

Golden Chick was my go to favorite spot & I would always crave it because it was sooo good. But lately I’ve been getting empty jalapeño poppers without any cheese, chicken tenders are getting smaller, gravy has been super runny. I always have to check to make sure everything is in my bag before going home because they either forget my gravy or fries. I feel like for this location to be in Stone Oak area should be of high quality service. Everyone there is so friendly but the lack of cooking is just not how it use to be.

Usually Golden Chick is pretty good, but after the experience I just had I will not return. I ordered coleslaw, as a side dish because I had food already and I’m halfway done with my coleslaw and its hair inside of it. I call to let the manager know and he just shrugs it off and says “We will look at the rest of it” and “Thanks for letting us know”. That is not the response I was expecting, I would’ve at least appreciated a refund or some sort of an apology. Make sure you check the rest of your sides to make sure no hair is inside of it.

After watching the Carol Burnett special on NBC, including two Golden Chick ads for their Wicked sandwich which was advertised as “wickedly spicy,” I LITERALLY went out the day afterwards, today, to buy one for lunch. I was sorely disappointed because it did not even have a HINT of spice. The drive through man even asked, “Do you want it spicy?” I confirmed, “Yes, I do.” To no avail. Perhaps they gave me the non-spicy sandwich accidentally. Needless to say, I feel I got ripped off. The Indian lady with the Henna tattoos on her arms and hands, who handed me my food, didn’t have any opinion about anything chicken on the menu since she said she was vegan.
