Food was delicious it was our first time eating at Golden Chick! And definitely we are coming back, although it took us time waiting for our order ,due to only 2 employees working at this place,but it worth the wait! My kids loved the chicken strips and fries!

We were on a road trip from Detroit to Phoenix and stopped for lunch. We ordered some of the combos. The fried chicken and tenders were good but the roasted was our favorite. The sides we tried were the fries, Mac n cheese, coleslaw, dirty rice, jalapenos and corn nuggets. They were all great! We’d had some disappointing food experiences on this trip but Golden Chick was definitely not one of them! Their sweet tea and lemonade made the perfect Arnold Palmer. The slogan on the side of the take-home boxes was something to the fact of “Happiness inside” and more than one of us commented on how good we felt (physically and mentally) after eating. We are before we thought to take any pictures but it would be what you’d expect with good portion sizes.

They tried to close early and had the doors locked and lied about having the food I tried to order. They closed over an hour early and tried to turn the lights off when multiple cars pulled up. Not a good way to stay in business.

30 minutes for ‘fast food’ restaurant is a little much but there were only 3 people working. Those 3 were working hard and not to blame but geez get some help! Food was hot and delicious

This place is just ridiculous. I went and ordered 2 family corn nuggets, 24 rolls, and a family okra. Took them 25 min to come to the window after I waved them over and asked for the manager’s name, they said they can’t tell me that. Then they finally give us the food at 35 min later sitting at the drive thru and the okra was so over cooked it just crumbled. I asked for a new order, and he was like, I guess. Took that box came back to the window and gave it to me with some new one top and the old still in the bottom. I said I would just like a refund for the okra and he said no we can’t do that without refunding everything I said no you can do it just for the okra. So, he went back slamming the window. He comes back but does not include the tax on the refund he said that is not included I said yes that is. Finally, we get the right money back. So, I called the store asking for the manager and they told me she just left I said Well what’s her name he said I don’t know. Then hung up on me 3 other times for me calling back.

We were stuck in traffic for two hours trying to drive from AZ to KS. Not to mention losing another two hours for the time change. There were other people in the lobby and they shut and locked the door on me and my mother and father. Total jerks. It wasn’t even busy and their lobby didn’t close for another half an hour. I honestly didn’t care about myself too much because the food wasn’t that good the first time we were there, but my dad was excited about it all week and they shut and locked the door in our face. I work in fast food and understand how hard things can get but with everything that I could see they had no reason to do that. Even at taco bell we make sure that nobody is in our dining room before we lock the lobby. It’s just being a decent human being. Never coming here again because of how they treated my family.

Arrived at 8:52. Open sign on. Doors locked. No lights on drive thru sign and no response. Employees inside. Website says open until 10:00. Door says inside 9:00 and drive thru 10:30. Guess not.
