Food was typical Golden Chick quality, which we love. Dining room was dirty. Every table was dirty and we were the only customers in the dining room. The young boy that took our order seemed bothered by the fact that we were there. And sadly it wasn’t our service that was bad. It was the service of another customer after us. A young man came in to order food. The same cashier stepped up to take his order while eating an Ice cream cone as if the customer was interrupting him. Then the customer asked for his order for dine in and the kitchen packed it up to go. The customer told them he wanted it for dine in and the boy from the kitchen literally said, ‘what, you can’t eat it out of a box?’ The young staff is lazy and rude and disrespectful.

Everything is out of stock, new items as well not available. The ice cream machine is out as well. The Tvs don’t work, no ice in the coke machine just want up to date. Building is new I give them that, stiff have stuff to the side I guess they are putting up.

The gentleman taking our order was so polite. We were the ONLY two customers in there and waited at least 10 minutes for chicken when they had a tray FULL under the heat station. The drink station was DISGUSTING. Had moldy standing water in the bottom and the outside was CRUSTED with various substances. The dining room had a sticky floor in places and it hadn’t been dusted in at least a week if not longer. I know this is one of maybe three places to eat outside of a gas station so could definitely have been better. Also redo the entrance golden chicken because it is not even convenient for those getting off the highway. Do better for your company and employees.

We decided to check this place out tonight. It is under new ownership who is an awesome young man. He greeted his customers with enthusiasm and respect. His parents were there supporting him and we had a chance to talk to his mom and expressed how they raised a truly decent and compassionate young man. The chicken I ordered was hot and juicy. My only suggestion would be to add a bit more salt, and I am not a big salt user, and maybe some garlic, but then again I am old enough that my taste buds are not how they use to be. Please give this place a try to support this wonder business!

I’d never been to a Golden Chick before tonight. The fried chicken was really good, as well as the sides. The highlight was the manager who finally got my order correct after the under 18 employees messed it up twice. I realize that they probably don’t make more than $10/hr, but seriously, twice?! If I hadn’t checked the box, I would’ve come home with chicken tenders and fries the first time, and chicken tenders and fries and mashed potatoes the second time, which wasn’t anywhere close to what I ordered. So, in conclusion, check your order to go, even in the drive thru, if you go to this location. The red headed kid is much more concerned with sipping his soda than getting your order right, and will act as if it’s your fault if it’s wrong. Whomever the manager is, you rock.
