We went in about 20 minutes before they closed and they were extremely kind. They cooked the food fresh for us and had no problem helping us order since it was our first time there. Food was very good. We will definitely be back 🙂

Unassuming mall place NOT afraid of spices. Had the Gang Pang chicken wings and Malah Green Beans. The wings were huge, tender and just the right amount of tart heat. The beans were crispy and tender. I would have liked them less saucy, but still excellent quality.

Amongst a generally unimpressive set of choices of Chinese in Hilliard, Golden China Express has been the best choice for me in the last couple of years. Unfortunately, tonight will likely be my last visit. Ordered General Tso’s chicken along with an egg roll and soup. The soup and egg roll were good, as usual. However the General Tso’s chicken was terrible. The chicken pieces were over-breaded and very chewy. The sauce was extremely sticky and thick and was lukewarm overall. It was not edible as it was and I ended up throwing it out. There is no way it was made to my order having picked it up in less than 10 mins from the time I ordered it. It definitely seemed the dish was made earlier for someone else and set back. Disappointing that I’m now back to trying to find an adequate Chinese restaurant in Hilliard.

The food here is good and the delivery is fast and reliable. Most people get takeout here, the seating area is clean but very basic and unassuming. I have one complaint, the owner’s pre-teen or teen children (I assume) answer the phones sometimes and they are so rude and seem annoyed to be helping their family. It is so problematic it often makes me order elsewhere.

They have a section of the menu called the diet menu. I had the chicken and steamed vegetables in dinner size from the diet menu. It was excellent and had good portions. The sauce is provided on the side so you can control the sodium and sugar.

I ordered the house lo mein and egg rolls. The food was amazing. Some of the best I’ve had. Definitely recommend this place. The only item I give a 4 are the forks. They couldn’t handle the food..lol.
