I don’t know what’s been going on with this place here lately.. my mother took me to this Chinese spot every time we got our hair done at TuTu’s beauty salon on Nike dr starting at the age of 10. I’m 24 now and The food was phenomenal and prices fair until recently. The recent first attempt I had called in a order 20mins prior to arriving and yet the food was still not done. The had also mistaken the order of spicy garlic beef for a spicy curry beef. Two combination meals for lunch time , which they said be ready in 15mins. Tried again, food was ready when I got there… I ordered cashew chicken and spicy garlic beef for coworker. I’ve never had golden chopsticks give me Cashew chicken like this.. the chicken was slimy and just textured wrong overall. I’ve never had a cashew chicken that didn’t have a dark gravy/juice. This was grey and just looked and tasted nasty. I couldn’t even finish the main. The egg rolls ended up tasting bad too but better than the main course. They also give you such a small container and serving of dipping sauce you can’t even fit the egg roll in the container to dip it ! LOL I ended up drizzling over my egg roll and making the biggest unnecessary mess. That was my choice. But I do hope things get better.

Food: The red curry chicken was quite good! However everything else was mediocre. Steamed rice was dry, fried rice had no veggies, general Tso’s chicken was just sweetened chicken. A combo only gives you an eggroll instead of a second scoop of rice-there’s no mixing dishes here.

The only thing I can recommend from here is the pad thai. Got the honey walnut shrimp most recently, super unappetizing and not like any 9ther place makes it. This has brown sauce and just tastes like salt.

Because it was close to close the manager was mocking me telling me to take my food home. Rude. The food was hot and made fresh and tasted good. But I will not return because he the manager was treating us like we were less than, I would not recommend this restaurant.

I found a hair in my food!!! Honey walnut shrimp was salty instead of sweet. Wonton soup was perfect. Fried rice with chicken was really greasy. So if you order from here make sure you select carefully because you just might get surprised

Egg rolls are skinnier and red sauce is in very small containers. My pork chow mein was pork and carrots and noodles. No mushrooms or vegetables. Very boring. My husband’s Mongolian had a weird taste. Very disappointed. This used to be our go to but something has changed.

Best fried rice I’ve ever had! I thought of down grading a star due to it being a bit.. less clean than I’d like. But the food needed to be understood.

Sign on entrance door states they are closed every Wednesday. When you walk in you get hit in the face with the odor of burning grease and fried food (not the same because of the light haze from smoke) – no way you are walking out of there without that smell hanging on your clothes and in your hair. We ate outside, thankfully that was an option. There was a sign stating menu prices were wrong because of costs… “ask how much the item you want currently is”… The outside eating area was clean and open with metal patio furniture. I gave two stars because of the outdoor seating and the the portion size of the pork fried rice. It was a good sized portion, which would have been quite filling, if it was worth consuming. Unfortunately, my order was rice with wilted, brownish, egg whites and sliced pork (I think), there was one tiny piece of carrot and one solitary pea – both of which reminded me of frozen vegetables; not a terrible thing in itself but would have been great to have the typical ingredients … onion, carrots, peas with egg and char siu pork (the square pieces with red edges, aka, roast pork). If you look at the picture it kinda looks like oatmeal – neither visually appealing nor tasty. I wouldn’t return to this location. I usually go to the Golden Chopsticks in Springfield and they are very good; none of the above issues.

Got the Mongolian beef which was salty sl beware if you order it. Then we ordered the orange chicken has a good sauce but the taste was like it was left open on a walk in cooler didn’t taste that good, as goes for the rice with isn’t made in house from my understanding it was actually decent which makes sense if they are cooking the rest of the food I wouldn’t recommend this place based on those entree’s
